Job Description

We are currently seeking a highly experienced Supervising Re-Recording Mixer to be an integral part of our cutting-edge, long-form post-production team located at our Turnmills facility in Farringdon, London. This role is critical for the strategic expansion of our UK sound department, requiring a collaborative effort with our production and sales teams.

As a creative leader, the chosen candidate will leverage their extensive industry network to enhance our UK sound team, nurturing relationships with both full-time employees and freelance talent. In this role, you'll be instrumental in guiding our creative direction and expanding Harbor's prestigious client roster

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: 

  • Lead HETV and theatrical editorial and mix projects, maintaining the highest artistic and industry standards. 
  • Serve as the creative authority on audio projects, overseeing the editorial process and acting as the primary client liaison for directors and client creatives. 
  • Work with Sales to drive sales outreach for the UK sound department, driving occupancy across our mix theatres. 
  • Foster and maintain strong client relationships while actively expanding our client base through networking efforts and collaboration with the sales team. 
  • Participate in the recruitment and growth of our UK sound team, overseeing both editorial and mixing personnel with the support of key stakeholders. 
  • Collaborate closely with senior management to ensure seamless service delivery. 
  • Contribute to the professional growth of our mix and editorial staff through active participation in training and development initiatives. 
  • Other duties, as required and assigned 

Qualifications

Required qualifications and background: 

  • Significant experience as a Re-Recording Mixer, gained through both facility and freelance settings. 
  • Proficiency in industry-standard tools such as Avid S6, Pro-Tools, Dolby Atmos, and familiarity with theatrical and SVOD delivery specifications  
  • Ability to interface with clients successfully and problem-solve proactively 
  • Ability to thrive in fast-paced environments with tight deadlines, demonstrating exceptional communication  
  • Extremely organized with ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously 
  • Network & studio delivery experience  
  • Strong team-building abilities with a collaborative mindset. 
  • Flexibility to accommodate late nights or weekends as required by client demands.
