About the client....

 

Nomad Foods is Europe’s leading Frozen Food Company and one of the largest in the world. Their portfolio of leading niche brands, anchored by Birds Eye, Findus and iglo, have been serving local European markets for generations and stand for food that is great tasting, high quality and convenient. They manufacture, sell and distribute a range of branded frozen food products across 17+ European countries with the United Kingdom, Italy, Germany, Sweden and France representing our five largest markets.

Publicis Media won the business in 2016 in 10 markets across Europe - now grown to 17+. The central agency team leads the relationship out of our London Hub, coordinating with regional Publicis offices in all EMEA markets.

About the role....

 

This is a critical hire within the Commerce team in the agency and aimed at delivering best-in-class online retail strategy and uncovering growth opportunities. The successful applicant will have strong strategic, communication, and presentation skills, and be adept at solving complex business problems in a matrixed organisation.

We’re looking for somebody with broader experience than campaign management, required skills include a deep understanding of eCommerce, retail optimisation, portfolio management, and data insights. Experience or interest in Social Commerce is a plus. The role involves assessing challenges, offering innovative solutions, and effectively communicating these to a senior audience.

This role will report into the Global Commerce Lead.

About the work....  

Delivery

  • Support the Commerce team and Global Business Director on the Nomad account by responding to briefs, making strategic suggestions, reporting, and presenting to the client.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive retail strategies that aligns with the overall client business objectives.
  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) for retailers and incorporate into strategic decisions that will help the client improve their performance.
  • Work closely with internal data teams to understand customer preferences and behaviours, leveraging data insights to enhance the overall shopping experience.

Growth

  • Collaborate with the solutions team to build scalable and repeatable solutions to actionable insights from diverse data sources, including social platforms, sales data, and market trends.
  • Be independent and take lead on your projects but whilst feeling comfortable to approach other members of the team for help. In Zenith Commerce, we're all about keeping the lines of communication open, from top to bottom and vice versa.

Client-Driven Thought Leadership

  • Stay abreast of social commerce industry trends, competitor activities, and market dynamics to identify opportunities and threats.
  • Conduct regular market research and analysis to inform strategic decision-making.
  • Supporting efforts to upskill the business on key topics and emerging trends.

Team Management (1 direct report)

  • Foster a collaborative and innovative team culture that encourages continuous learning and improvement.
  • Provide effective line management by overseeing and guiding team members and ensuring the successful execution of tasks and projects within established timelines.

Qualifications

What you need to succeed in the role....

This role would benefit from a methodical, well-organised and adaptable individual, who can build relationships and get under the skin of our client’s business to understand how we can best support their Commerce ambitions.

Experience with retail media OR retail strategy is preferred. Desired experience in social commerce or Paid Social would be very beneficial, but the willingness to learn is key.

You will be able to take a lead role in building presentations, responses and demonstrating the opportunity Commerce presents to our clients, answering specific business challenges. You need to have great communication (both written and verbal) and interpersonal skills – our clients like to be challenged, but with diplomacy.

Publicis Groupe operates a hybrid working pattern with employees being office-based on Mondays and two other days during the working week.
