We’re searching for a Vice President/Group Director of New Business to join the award-winning business development team who will work with the leadership team to network, position, and market Digitas New York to support and drive growth for the region.

Job Description

New Business Leadership

  • Serve as one of the key new business experts for the region, reporting into SVP, New Business NY/ATL
  • Fully steward the pitch process from identification, casting, RFI, RFP, and all client meetings – liaising with clients and pitch consultants as necessary and managing up to senior leadership
  • Lead RFP (Request for Proposal)/Pitch activity:
    • Thoroughly review and understand proposal ask and help craft RFPs and pitch presentations.
    • Align pitches appropriately with the right staff – ensure the capability mix is correct and that the marketing team is leveled appropriately to deliver
    • Project manage mid-large size proposals and pitches, defining timing, coordinating with office leads to assign team, and ensuring roles/responsibilities are clear
  • Develop written content for agency collateral, RFPs, case studies, and credentials presentations
  • Able to create client presentations, written communications, creative elements, and other project-related content pieces as directed
  • Ensure team delivers high quality work on strategy, and on time
  • Be an active participant in the North American new business community: serve as one of the local office experts for work, cases, people, and more

People Management:

  • Develop people within the team and across capabilities by coaching, identifying areas for growth, celebrating successes, managing promotion process, keeping an open dialogue with the team, and identifying training opportunities
  • Partner with SVP to support the growth Managers or ADs on the team by providing guidance, establishing goals and providing an appropriate level of feedback on a regular basis
  • Establish and grow relationships across capabilities and capability leads
  • Is a mature, calm leader of the internal cross-functional team – inspires team to strive for superior client work and results
  • Actively pursue opportunities to share intellectual capital across the organization
  • Demonstrate mature leadership and empathy in difficult team situations – leads by example

Qualifications

  • Four year degree
  • 10+ years experience driving growth within the agency landscape
  • Experience with both creative and media agencies preferred; media required
  • Understanding of large agency environments strongly preferred
  • Understanding of the advertising, marketing and digital agency landscape
  • Strong communication skills

  • Candidate must be open to travel as needed

Additional Information

Compensation Range: $199,000 - $225,000 annually. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time.
