Job Description

We are looking for a collaborative Word Wiz with mid-level copywriting experience. The Copywriter will partner with Art Directors and work under the direction of an Associate Creative Director to help craft compelling copy and concept statements. The ideal candidate is a quick learner and self-starter who thrives in fast-paced environments and feels comfortable contributing during group brainstorms. The Copywriter will need to be detail oriented and highly driven to effectively juggle multiple projects and brand voices on several large alcohol brands, while having some fun on the best team in the biz along the way.  

Responsibilities

  • Craft compelling shopper marketing ideas and persuasive copy for in-store and in-bar experiences
  • Contribute to brainstorming, idea development, and creative execution
  • Work with senior creative or project leads to ensure copy tone and style are consistent with brand standards
  • Translate ideas into effective copy concepts and communication
  • Develop strong relationships and trust with creative, account and strategy team members
  • Be receptive to feedback and be able to make updates on the fly

Qualifications

  • A degree or portfolio school diploma in English, journalism, communications, or a related field
  • 2+ years’ experience as an advertising or marketing copywriter
  • Must have online portfolio or PDF representing campaign ideas or executions, strategic conceptual ideation, attention to detail and a variety in voice and writing style
  • A solid understanding of marketing and advertising principles
  • Exceptional writing skills and attention to detail and grammar
  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and effectively juggle different writing demands
  • Ear to the ground when it comes to pop culture and emerging trends/technologies
  • Team members largely based in Midwest and East Coast, operating on EST

Compensation Range:  $64,500 - $80,500 annually. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time.
