Job Description

We are looking for an experienced digital media specialist, with expertise in the fields of digital media technology, ad operations, ad tech, mar tech and measurement, who can come in and immediately make an impact. This will be both in terms of applying industry knowledge (and sharing this with the team) to manage key tagging, trafficking, data, measurement, and partner relationships to drive campaign efficiency and develop leading technical expertise. The individual we are seeking will be confident with senior agency executives and clients and clear in delivering our agency's point of view and recommendations.

The successful candidate will have a fully rounded knowledge of digital ad serving, measurement, and associated technology and partners.

Responsibilities:

The responsibilities of this role span five core areas:

TAAG leadership and global coordination

  • Manage and standardize global best practices and quality control, thought leadership, global client relationship, point of escalation.

TAAG Traffic Management

  • Oversee and manage global ad operations teams and ensure best-in-class service delivery in all markets.
    • Establish/refine processes and training parameters to ensure flawless, on-time execution by operational teams.
    • Organize and centralize, where possible, processes and technologies to deliver specific client needs (taking local nuances into account)
    • Proactive partner management and industry outreach to improve and evolve ad operations solutions, based on clients’ needs.
  • Ensure that all tagging, data collection & operations activities are performed flawlessly and in accordance with campaign objectives and primary KPI(s)

Orchestrate Technology partners, tools, and systems

  • Identify and oversee the deployment of digital technology solutions and partnerships, such as ad servers, and data management tools, that deliver against client and organizational needs.
    • Lead the communication with strategic technology vendors (ad-server, TMS, ad verification, DMP, third-party, creative agencies, etc.)
    • Drive management of T&Cs and team compliance
    • Ensure teams are effectively and efficiently using current tools and systems through training and/or establishment and adherence to best practices.
    • Audit and evaluate technology solutions being used and identify opportunities to improve and/or create new tools and systems that will drive savings or generate new revenue.

TAAG Consultation across digital Channels involving AdTech & MarTech Products

  • Ownership of Roadmap & Thought Leadership of one or several TAAG Products spanning across all digital Channels involving AdTech & MarTech Scope (e.g., DCO-Solution, A/B-Testing, cross-channel Measurement Framework)
  • Partner with digital directors, client- and channel leads on the business to deliver the best product and best thinking across, search, social, mobile, display, and video to establish technology needs and requirements.
  • Represent client’s needs within the marketplace to meet current and future needs – and identify where new value can be created for the agency and our clients

Global Network Client Operations Management

  • Manage and maintain TAAG playbooks, cookbooks, RACI charts, project plans, etc.
  • Manage (oversee the management) the user access to the respective tools and platforms (ad-server, ad verification, taxonomy tool, Jira, reporting dashboard, etc.)
  • Manage the day-to-day activities of the team global Ad Ops team and delegate tasks to team members.
  • Conduct training of team members to maximize their potential. Empower team members with skills to improve their confidence, product knowledge, and communication skills.
  • Work closely with Data Governance on taxonomy compliance and data accuracy projects
  • Lead regular calls/clinics (if necessary) with client local markets and Hub teams, data governance and reporting teams (updates regarding server/ad verification, Workflow (JIRA), taxonomy builders, reporting dashboards, etc.)
  • Oversee JIRA ticket assignment, campaign prioritizations.
  • Work with media team and analytics managers to ensure that KPIs are clearly defined for all digital marketing campaigns, and that data collection technology has been intelligently implanted to collect all relevant data.
  • Active participant in all campaign discussions regarding technology and operational issues
  • First-line escalation point for any technical and reporting issues that require advanced QA/ troubleshooting for all aspects of digital ad operations campaign management.

Qualifications

  • Entrepreneurial Style of Thinking, open minded “can-do”-approach on new topics, team player able to navigate multi-faceted cultures within an international team.
  • Very strong Ability to translate technical complexity into simplicity.
  • Bachelor’s degree in digital marketing, Informatics, or a related field
  • 3+ years of industry experience in agency, ad, or marketing tech
  • Specifically, the candidate must have a good command of MS Excel and PowerPoint, including formulas and tables, as these are heavily utilized in the creation of automation efficiencies in the reporting process.
  • Technology experience is important (must have experience with standard ad servers such as CM360, Flashtalking, Sizmek, Ad Form, etc.)
  • Experience
  • Tagging experience is a very big plus (would be great to have experience within CM360 Floodlight and Tag Management Systems such as GTM, Tealium, Adobe Launch, etc.)
  • Good understanding of the Ad Verification landscape (IAS, Double Verify, MOAT, etc.)
  • Candidate must have strong attention to detail and be able to quality check their work to ensure that data anomalies/mistakes are caught prior to delivery of the reports to the client teams.
  • Candidate must have strong management capabilities, both operationally (to ensure that tasks such as reporting & trafficking are completed on time and accurately) as well as strategically (to ensure that guidance is given to all teams on how to enhance the product as the account matures)
  • Must be able to cultivate excellent relationships with clients and technology stakeholders, local and international peers.
  • Must have the ability to learn new processes and technology quickly.
  • Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment, resilient even in stressful times, always acting professionally and like the shining beacon the client and stakeholders need to not get lost.
  • Hands-on, problem-solving abilities – “can do” attitude (so someone who is a thinker and a doer)
  • Strong communicational skills, both spoken and in written form.
