THE PURPOSE OF THIS ROLE

The purpose of the Senior Activation Executive is to manage media buying and best-in-class campaign activation across offline channels, delivering exceptional results against agreed parameters and a good knowledge of the Australian media landscape. The Senior Activation Executive reports into the Activation Director and will have the support of an additional Activation Manager.

This is a chance to join a multi-discipline team and learn a diverse set of skills, while working with some fantastic clients. A varied mix of clients who host an exciting range of products which give the team merit to do fun things that’s outside the box!

You will be strong on TV and other offline channels, across buying, management and reporting. You will bring the confidence to accurately respond to client briefs and provide exceptional client service, all while ensuring that traditional media metrics are being fulfilled.

WHAT KEY RESPONSIBILITES DOES THIS ROLE HAVE?

  • Activating all campaigns using the Spark Activation Model & Philosophy – support with driving negotiations for clients with media partners; negotiate campaign trading positions where there are no long-term deals in place across all media; optimise and track all campaign variables to ensure all objectives are met
  • Market analysis – proactively complete regular and continuous analysis of market trends, economic issues and other factors effecting buys; present market updates, sponsorship/partnership opportunities, and other information of interest internally and to clients where appropriate
  • Campaign analysis and optimisation – monitor and optimise campaigns regularly
  • Tracking & Reporting – produce or oversee the production of accurate post campaign reports that demonstrate delivered value and learning opportunities for all campaigns
  • Campaign Management & overseeing finance processes – complete final buy documents and benchmark bought rates after every bought plan; maintain accurate budget and spend management of campaigns
  • Team Mentoring and train a Coordinator

  • Develops professional relationships with media partners, understanding the information sharing boundaries

KEY REQUIREMENTS

  • A 1-3 years’ relevant experience
  • Strong understanding and working knowledge of the Australian media landscape
  • Experience across the following Office platforms: Word, PowerPoint and Excel
  • Have a full understanding and experience using the following tools: eTAM, BMD, Roy Morgan, EMMA, eRAM, Nielsen Digital/ Answers, Sizmek and/or DCM, MOVE, AQX Fusion
  • Experience in buying MTV, RTV and STV and track record of delivering against goals 
  • Experience in buying across all offline media, digital would be beneficial
