DMX, based in Amsterdam, is a media billings transaction hub for EMEA markets and clients globally, acting as bridge between digital vendors and agencies and/or clients. It acts as a strategic billings hub and will need to be taken to the next level.

Job Description

Reporting into the Finance Director of Global Media, who reports up to CFO of Publicis Media Global, the role of the FinOps Director will include the following:

 

  • Managing management reporting and statutory reporting for the entity, prepared by the Financial Controller.
  • Working with the Global Media FinOps Manager to set up new and simplified billings processes for clients for the region, though not limited to it.
  • Working with and establishing good relationships with the various internal and external stakeholders: among others, intercompany agency teams across the region, global and regional commercial team, digital vendors, client finance teams, shared services, EMEA head of analytics.
  • Setting up and maintaining a system of reporting to stakeholders, which will need their meets and help remove inefficiencies in our teams and the clients’ teams. As automated as possible.
  • Managing a team of currently 6 with the view of expanding. Including managing their growth in their roles and the company.
  • Overseeing all financial control activities, including the review and analysis of monthly and quarterly numbers and disclosures.
  • Providing external auditors with the necessary documentation and support, both statutory auditors as well as client auditors.
  • Taking care of tax preparation duties or liaising with external tax accountants for tax preparation.

Qualifications

  • Ideally fully qualified
  • Ideally, experience in working in financial operations in bigger organisations with operations across various countries.
  • Passion for tackling problems and improving the back office for the company to grow.
  • Excellent analytical skills, a passion for metrics and figures, with the ability to get into the details while also seeing and understanding the big picture.
  • Experience working with various levels of the organization including leadership & peers.
  • Experience working with databases and information systems.
  • Highly motivated and self-directed; exhibits thought leadership and strong critical thinking skills.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills, open minded and good at building relationships.
