Job Description

We are looking for a strong Business Director with extensive AEM implementation experience to power the website architecture, design and content development end to end for one of our large clients in the urban development category.

As a Digital Content & Experience lead you will be responsible for translating client content management requirements into technical designs which includes enterprise-level architecture and implementing strategies using components of the Adobe AEM platform to support multi-site, multi-channel, multi-lingual delivery environments. You will serve as an AEM subject matter expert and will take ownership of defining end-to-end architecture for the web platform and provide technology leadership, influence thinking and lead/mentor teams of front- and back-end developers.

Specializes in the practice of organizing and classifying information, ensuring discoverability, findability and usability for website users. 

You will also be closely collaborating with content mangers on the team to drive overall content strategies and implementation plans on the website. 

Main Tasks

Technical & Product

  • Develop Digital Consumer experiences using Adobe’s AEM product suite, including WCM, DAM and Social Collaboration.
  • Develop powerful features such as multi-site and multi-channel delivery, personalization/targeting, content aggregation & syndication, multi-lingual support, automated workflow management, social media etc.
  • Interact with clients to create end-to-end specifications for content & collaboration solutions and present architectural decisions to stakeholders.
  • Apply deep understanding of AEM and other Adobe solutions like Analytics and Campaign to make appropriate technical decisions.
  • Develop and oversee OSGI bundles, AEM templates, HTL/Sightly components and services, AEM launches, workflows, localization features, AEM Mobile and Forms applications and the AEM DAM.
  • Diagnose and solve technical problems related to content management implementation.
  • Conceptualizing creative ideas with clients.
  • Driving the overall website content strategy.
  • Testing and improving the design of the website.
  • Establishing design guidelines, standards, and best practices working collaboratively with Brand Creative Lead and Digital Experience Manager. 
  • Maintaining the appearance of websites by enforcing content & creative standards.
  • Designing visual imagery for websites and ensuring that they are in line with branding for clients.
  • Working with different content management systems.
  • Communicating design ideas using user flows, process flows, site maps, and wireframes.
  • Ideating functionalities and features into websites.
  • Designing sample pages in collaboration with the design and UX / UI team
  • Preparing design plans and presenting the website structure.

 

Business Acumen & Operational Efficiency

The candidate should have a keen business acumen to comprehend the broader organizational objectives and aligns Digital Content and Experience strategies with overarching business goals. The candidate should demonstrate a great ability to moderate senior stakeholders' workshops effectively, the candidate must articulate the strategic importance of website IA, content, design (UX / UI) & taxonomy, demonstrating how it contributes to improved user experiences and, consequently, enhanced business outcomes. 

Innovative & Analytical Mindset

The candidate should be able to bring together both art & science in driving innovation based on strong insights and consumer journeys.

The candidate needs to be very fluent in the different IA user research methodologies including User Interviews, Card Sorting, Tree Testing, Heatmaps and Analytics, Usability Testing, A/B Testing, Accessibility Testing and Prototype Testing. 

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience, preferably from web development organisations.
  • Strong experience in Adobe Experience Manager is a must.
  • Must have handled at least 2-3 large AEM implementation in AEM 6.x. as a technical architect role.
  • Strong understanding of digital content strategy and implementation across various platforms.
  • Ability to bring together a large team with multiple workstreams across markets.
  • BA/BS degree in Design (e.g. interaction, graphic, visual communications, product, industrial, etc), Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Arabic Speaking is a plus.
  • Solid verbal communication skills, with experience presenting to all levels of clients and co-workers.
  • Well-versed in user-centred design methods and techniques.
  • Expertise in core web technologies including XML, HTML5, CSS, client/server-side-scripting languages such as JavaScript preferably using SPA (Single page application) and web services development using RESTful implementations.
  • Deep understanding of Java, Java EE, Servlets, HTL/Sightly skills, combined with a strong understanding of enterprise Java frameworks such as Spring.
  • Proficient in Day CQ / Adobe AEM foundational concepts, including the use of core frameworks such as Apache Sling and Apache Felix, a solid understanding of all of the related building blocks including templates, components, dialogs, widgets, etc., and the Adobe AEM development and deployment process.
  • Good understanding of Day CQ /Adobe AEM WCM capabilities including Multi-site manager and Blueprinting, and the use of online marketing components such as advanced targeting / personalization, and multi-variate testing, is preferred.
  • Proficient knowledge of the end-to-end content lifecycle, web content management, content publishing / deployment, and delivery processes.
  • Good understanding of integration patterns and content-centric application development patterns i Day CQ / Adobe AEM with or without a Portal, Search, Commerce package or other platforms, is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of SDLC methodologies (Agile, SCRUM)
  • Experience in at least one: Adobe - Analytics, Campaign, Commerce, Marketo Engage, Target or equivalent technologies is a plus
