Job Description

Responsible for creating photo-real scenes that integrate seamlessly with plate photography. Successfully display a high proficiency in some and a varied skill level across the areas of technical direction, design, motion graphics, compositing, and hard surface animation. Ability to lead the lookDev lighting process for the studio as well as live projects. Candidate in this role will work both individually and within a large team environment, with tasks ranging from completing everything on a small number of shots to working on specific tasks within a larger body of work.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create high-level CG elements for use in client projects
  • 3D texturing, lighting, shading, rendering, animation and compositing
  • Work efficiently to meet deadlines and monitor output quality and render efficiency
  • Supervise lighting and rendering process of studio and live projects
  • Assist with the further development of tools and workflow implementations of the studio

Qualifications

  • 3+ years experience creating 3D visual effects for television or feature films
  • Proven artistic ability across multiple CG disciplines including modeling, texturing, lighting, animation, shading, look development and compositing
  • High or mid-level expertise in one of the following programs: Maya, 3ds Max, Cinema 4D or Blender
  • Familiarity with different rendering engines, ZBrush, particle simulations, 3D and object tracking (Pftrack, Syntheyes or 3DEqualizer)
  • Works well in deadline-drive environment
  • Strong communication skills; team player
  • Proactive problem-solver; able to revise to client notes as required
  • Highly creative, with an eye for high-quality visuals and technical perfection
