Job Description

As a MarTech Strategist, you will be working with a group of like-minded MarTech experts, clients and prospects to create approaches and strategies for clients to achieve their technical goals. These will be closely linked to business objectives and value for the client ensuring we are enabling them to gain value and ROI from their Martech investments, focusing on shifting technologies from hindering to enabling marketers.

You will engage directly with our clients, collaborating on vision, strategy, realistic roadmaps and challenging on people and processes that meet their business needs.

You will ensure that architectural design, tech strategy, and related tasks are carried out and are fit for purpose, improving existing, or defining new approaches and processes where necessary. You will verify that the future architectural design and approaches will meet the needs of users and achieves clients’ strategic business objectives.

In addition, you will collaborate with the wider Tech and Data teams and related capabilities to answer questions for the agency and clients on forward-looking innovation, technology trends as part of our on-going engagements and new business including knowledge share of the MarTech space.

In much of their work, our Technology Strategists work in cross-discipline teams with a focus on Experience Design (UI/UX), Tech Engineering (Developers, QAs, Architects) and Project Management colleagues.

Responsibilities

  • Working with other MarTech experts, help set the vision, strategy, and approach for a client’s MarTech capabilities, delivering against their user needs and business objectives
  • Translate complex user needs and business objectives into clear and manageable technical requirements
  • Carry out client and internal strategy session to breakdown complex ecosystems and future goals into manageable, achievable roadmaps that clients can buy into
  • Act as a MarTech expert in client pitches, discovery meetings, and on-going engagements, helping clients understand how they will achieve what has previously been seen as unachievable goals
  • Develop effective relationships with client architects, marketers and other stakeholders, working collaboratively with your counterparts within client teams to deliver and facilitate work that enables the success of the wider engagement, encouraging adherence to the most effective ways of working and making clients advocates for our methodologies, practices and expertise
  • Be aware of, assess, and share forward-looking MarTech trends to drive the growth of the agency and colleagues knowledge
  • Acquire and maintain certifications in marketing technologies in response to the evolving needs of the business and our client’s requirements

 

    Qualifications

    • Holistic mindset, comfortable with ambiguity, with an analytical approach to thinking, together with a natural curiosity and enthusiasm in technology and business topics
    • A passion and enthusiasm for the MarTech industry, understanding and appreciating the various configurations, technologies, and vendors available in the market
    • An ability to take complex topics and projects and break them down into attainable, demonstratable outcomes to drive business value, incrementally
    • Collaborative nature and pro-active attitude, comfortable working with a range of skillsets and opinions
    • Planning, creation, articulation and presenting of strategic and architecture artefacts and approaches from early-stage definition, through design and build, to on-going operation
    • Ability to translate client objectives and user needs into releasable features that are able to be prioritised according to business requirements whilst taking into account other impacts on priority such as technical complexity
    • Confident client facing skills with ability to deal with challenging situations and a collaborative mindset able to work in and lead cross-discipline teams
    • Experience working within a digital agency environment would be beneficial
    • You should ideally have experience of integration projects working across some of the following technologies:
      • CRM integration (Salesforce, Adobe Campaign, Braze)
      • Tag Management and Analytics (Tealium, GTM, DTM, Ensighten)
      • CDP/DMP (Tealium, Adobe, Exponea)
      • Understanding of Adtech including DSP’s, DoubleClick/GMP, Trade Desk
      • Digital Analytics and Measurement (GA 360, Amplitude, Heap)
      • Optimisation and Personalisation (Optimizely, Target, Maxymiser)
      • Web CMS/DXP solutions (AEM, Sitecore, Episerver, Contentful)
      • Cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP)
