Job Description

The candidate will set the tone of voice and content style across brands, their social platforms, and the wider copywriting and editorial vertical.

They will work together with client teams and fellow writers to strengthen and execute the social content strategy, write, conceptualise, ideate and execute with quick turnarounds and impeccable work.

They will learn and develop, creating an environment of collaboration and innovation and ensure best in class product.

Besides writing, their duties include editing and proofreading everything from B2C social captions to B2B longform feature articles.

The candidate should find creative ways of getting the brand’s messaging across through words (with the help of the wider creative team) sharing the core message in smart ways on platforms from Facebook to TikTok

Here, content is defined as multimedia articles, blog posts, images or videos that aid in fostering engagement online.

 

Main Tasks

Technical & Product

  • Writing, editing and proofreading all content
  • Write content across all social platforms, B2B and B2C, including text for reports, presentations, emails 
  • Maintain a 0-error streak across all written work
  • Motivate the team to create a collaborative, innovative and ambitious environment

Business Acumen & Operational Efficiency

  • Provide editorial, creative, and technical support to team members and teams across other verticals when required
  • Maintain positive relationships with all team members, clients, and vendor partners
  • Collaborate with the wider content team consisting of writers, graphic designers, videographers & community managers
  • Assist community managers with responses (EN/AR) when required

Innovative & Analytical Mindset

  • Creative conceptualising: Stay atop of current social content trends and how those can be adapted into content for the client business
  • Brainstorm with team members to develop new ideas
  • Perform consistently against all published KPI's and scorecard objectives
  • Strong attention to detail 

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in communications, journalism, translation or related field
  • Bilingual (English / Arabic) proficiency is required. Arabic will be the primary language for the content created
  • 4-5 years content experience or in a similar role
  • A native social media creator is a plus
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly computer literate and advanced knowledge Microsoft Office is a plus
  • Creativity and the ability to develop original content
  • Ability to develop content that provokes engagement
