Job Description

The Client Services team at Digitas build relationships with clients, partners and colleagues to deliver great work.  To do that we focus on four C’s:

What we’re looking for

In this role, you will play a key leadership role within a dynamic, priority Groupe account. You will be responsible for the successful account management of Customer programmes and projects spanning an exciting mix of strategy, creative, data and technology. You’ll work closely with a Business Director who sits across the whole account, a growing team of Senior / Account Managers, and a cross-disciplinary team of strategists, creatives, technologists and data experts at the top of their game. You’ll also build brilliant working relationships with our sister teams at Saatchi & Saatchi and Poke.

The account is exciting and growing fast. This client has big ambitions and sees Digitas as a key consultative partner as they pursue them.

As Account Director, you will understand their business and the context of the wider account, steering projects in line with these wider goals. You’ll be comfortable operating in a fast-paced, dynamic project environment, and confident leading within a multi-agency working group. You’ll collaborate constructively, while ensuring Digitas’ work and team can thrive.

Responsibilities

You will be a key leader within the account team, responsible for the success of the client relationship and – in partnership with project management – the delivery of brilliant work. You will:

  • Own the relationship with day-to-day clients and partners in your programmes and projects, making sure that all requests are dealt with in a professional and timely way.
  • Ensure that all the work we deliver is of high quality and on time/to budget.
  • Build effective client relationships in which you become the client’s trusted advisor.
  • Understand the dynamics of your client’s business, so that we can identify ways in which Digitas can help them meet their objectives.
  • Stay on top of what your client’s competitors are doing and share insights with the client/agency teams.
  • Own your projects from brief/concept to end of project review – including collating results, writing case studies and taking learnings into future engagements.
  • Work with strategy to design content marketing strategies and an editorial calendar that meets business and customer objectives
  • Collaborate with creative, copywriting/ journaliists and production teams to produce high quality content (includes videos, as well as articles)
  • Responsible for the timely delivery of content plans and activity
  • Help to manage the content marketing budget circa £1m
  • Lead status calls
  • Attend shoots and manage client expectations during pre-production, production and post production phases on AV projects.
  • Take responsibility for commercial management of your projects, including contributing to weekly revenue forecasts with your Business Director and Managing Partner, and careful monitoring of project budgets and margin.
  • Work collaboratively with cross-discipline and cross-agency teams, facilitating success and where needed identifying new ways to let the partnership and projects thrive.
  • Participate in the wider account strategy, sharing learnings from your projects while absorbing and acting on the overall objectives and direction of the client relationship.
  • Contribute to creation of the annual account growth plan (with your Business Director/Managing Partner.)
  • Continue building your knowledge of the digital marketing & technology sector, including attending agency training sessions.

Qualifications

You will have an agency background, with 4+ years’ experience, including proven leadership of projects within a multi-stakeholder/multi agency environment.

You’ll bring:

  • Proven ability to develop fruitful, trusting relationships with mid/senior level clients.
  • Experience leading positive, long-term engagements within multi-agency working groups.
  • The ability to prioritise and support your team in prioritising tasks on fast moving programmes of work.
  • Excellent collaboration and communication.
  • The ability to lead projects while knowing when to escalate/corral the support of your Business Director/Managing Partner.
  • An ability to identify and implement changes or new ways of working.
  • Commercial focus and leadership – you’ll always have one eye on the commercial impact of decisions and a proven ability to balance this with project and client objectives.
  • Line management and a passion for developing the Account Manager/s working within your team.
  • Leadership and standard-setting – you’ll set the bar for account management and wider team in terms of quality, delivery, communication and how we conduct ourselves with clients and partners.
  • Ability to manage client expectations during pre-production, production and post production phases on AV projects.

Desirable

  • Wider experience in Customer, Content, production digital, technology and data
  • Experience in the telecomms and technology sector
  • Will have managed projects £250k+
