Job Description

At MSL, we want to help clients build people powered social communities and social content that people believe in.

Our Account Directors are essential to our award-winning work. You will have experience of helping brands attract, engage and retain relevant audiences on social platforms.

You’ll also have the ambition to play a pivotal role in driving the commercial success of one of the best agencies in the country by growing our social offering. And helping us do it right.

Qualifications

Key Skills & Responsibilities:

  • Client ownership: Confident owning the client relationship and leading strategic conversations on how we can best deliver work
  • A great presenter: Strong communications skills and able to captivate a room when presenting ideas or plans
  • Taking ownership over projects: Hitting deadlines, organising the project team, managing the client and running budgets
  • Lead account growth: Identify new opportunities with existing clients, lead new business and activate opportunities with senior support
  • Financial rigour: Ensure clients are invoiced correctly, billability of account team members is tracked consistently, and budgets and expenditure closely tracked.
  • Commercial acumen: Able to deliver a good margin, negotiate and formalise appropriate budgets.
  • Develop the team: Line management and mentorship of junior team members, always ensuring their development is prioritised

Attributes & Qualities:

  • Social Media Specialist: From influencers to social media strategies; you will be experienced in and passionate about social
  • PR experience: Experience working within a busy PR team
  • Core part of the team: Working together is key to our success; you’ll be great at bringing together teams to deliver great work
  • Being culturally connected and aware of the world around you: Understanding trends, attending events and exhibitions.
  • Be curious: You will actively work to develop in-depth knowledge about the media and communications landscape and MSL’s wider offer.
  • Actively contribute to MSL culture and values: Live our values and take initiative to do.
  • Problem solver: Ability to think on your feet, work in an agile manner and adapt to changing requests.
  • Proactive: Be seen as a thought leader in the market and represent the agency at industry events such as webinars, conferences and awards
