Company Description

The Anchor Workflow Manager will work within the Front End Team (Dailies & Anchor) to maintain the smooth running of the Anchor platforms and enable the transition of projects through Dailies, VFX pulls and into DI using HARBOR’s in house developed software and hardware. They will be responsible for setting up Anchor projects for ongoing internal and external use, including managing comprehensive testing and vendor onboarding.

It will be the direct responsibility of the Anchor workflow Manager to check accuracy and efficiency of all VFX & DI deliverables daily, creating and delivering fixes and resupplies where necessary, as well as managing the ingest, verification and storage utilisation of the associated departmental servers. 

The Anchor Workflow Manager will act as 1st line support for Anchor & Anchor Lite projects, reporting any issues or bugs to the development team, troubleshoot any issues regarding the pulls process, QC pulls as and when required, feedback on features, monitor projects and flag if any storage is exceeding limits. In doing so they will aim to guarantee clients receive a premier experience.

The workflow manager will work as a member of an international team, representing UK based productions and supporting US projects and colleagues where required.

Job Description

Experience and Responsibilities:  

  • Excellent technical knowledge of Digital Dailies activities, with deep knowledge of camera formats along with the associated colour and metadata management including ALEs/CDLs/LUTs etc.
  • Good technical knowledge of Editorial and Conform activities including EDL / ALE manipulation, Conforms etc.
  • Understanding of Data & I/O Operations including LTO formats and operation
  • Experience with terminal and general commands
  • Developed understanding of VFX Pulls and the associated colour management BLG, CDL, LUT, etc
  • Experience of Daylight / Baselight & other dailies platforms
  • Experience of (and interest in) digital production workflows used on high end feature and broadcast projects
  • A logical problem solver with good attention to detail and excellent communication skills
  • Experience of Monitoring/Reporting/Ticketing Tools
  • Experience tracking physical assets
  • Experience managing multiple projects and being able to self prioritise
  • Line manager to wider Anchor operator team, responsible for recruitment and training of new operators as required
  • Training the wider DI department in the use of anchor for conform and vfx pull use, and updating staff users to new functionality
  • Other duties, as required and assigned.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications & Background

  • Experience from a dailies or IO background working on HETV & Features
  • Knowledge of imaging + colour science best practices
  • Highly motivated, team orientated and excellent communication skills
