Job Description

JOB SUMMARY:

The Strategic Planning Director will drive the Planning Philosophy and lead the planning team of the agency. He or she will work with cross-functional teams to guide strategy and deliver top-notch thinking, and effective work. The Strategic Planning Director will leverage data, company knowledge, cultural understanding and consumer insights to tell impactful stories from the earliest research stage through creative development, integrated communication planning and campaign evaluation.

RESPONSIBLE FOR

  • Directing the strategic leadership of their clients 
  • Delivering a consistently high quality of the work and ideas across planning disciplines (brand strategy, digital strategy, engagement planning, etc.) 
  • Drawing critical human and cultural insights from data and observation 
  • Working closely with account and creative leadership, and be the highly visible face of strategy on a client’s business.
  • Translating strategy and strategic thinking to creative marketing actions 
  • The successful application of the strategic philosophy and tools 
  • The management, direction, and application of disciplines on a work stream       
  • The management, development, and morale of their direct and indirect reports 
  • The development of brand strategies, writing creative briefs, guiding development and presentation of the creative work 
  • The design and implementation of research projects to address client business issues, gain insight into target audiences 

Qualifications

SKILLS AND QUALIFIERS:

  • 10 years’ experience in account management and strategic planning.
  • Excellent management skills and having experience in Beauty skin care cosmetics, and understanding Regional setup is preferred
  • Curious, active, and brilliant thinking
  • Strong communication and storytelling skills
  • Natural leadership with clients and internal teams
  • The experience in and/or the command of all the ways brands connect with people in today’s world – traditional, digital, event, etc.
  • The interpersonal skills to inspire and elevate the work of those around them, and to work with different disciplines, resources, and personalities seamlessly 
  • The capacity to be involved, and to be a hands-on leader on more than one business 
  • The ability to know a great idea when they see it, and to know when and how to make it better
