Job Description

Our award winning, 50+ strong SEO team at Starcom is looking for an SEO Account Director.  

As an SEO Account Director, you will play a central role in day-to-day ownership of client engagements, SEO process and execution on/off page, support the growth of our offering with the help of the Business Director and lead in management of the SEO Account Executives and Account Manager in the team.  

The SEO Account Director will shape the global SEO strategy for a variety of brands across content, technical and outreach. your role will be responsible for research, implementation, monitoring and reporting on client organic search campaigns. The ideal candidate will be a quick learner, passionate about digital marketing with a positive attitude and great attention to detail. The candidate will have a very good understanding of the main pillars of SEO and how our work impacts a clients’ organic traffic. The candidate will be given the time and training to deepen their knowledge of SEO and will be part of a fast-paced team working alongside our in-house SEO experts in the SEO Team on a couple of our most exciting clients. 

Your day-to-day tasks will be varied, including tasks such as undertaking detailed technical audits to understand how users find and how Google index and crawls our clients’ websites, as well as auditing and analysing on-site content.  

You will create actionable and engaging reports using data to analyse the site’s performance and content - these reports will be used to present back to the client in weekly/monthly meetings. You will have access to a variety of tools for developing insights and opportunities to help our clients achieve their business goals. 
 

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience in SEO, Owned Asset Optimisation and technical SEO

  • Experience in creating Global scalable strategies 

  • High-level numeracy and analysis skills, to be able to interrogate data and come out with actionable insights to inform business decisions. 

  • Demonstrated career management of SEO executives 

  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills, being able to confidently and clearly present work to clients, media owners and internal stakeholders. Experience & gravitas to ‘fly solo’ & present to mid to senior-weight clients. 

  • Excellent troubleshooting skills: the ability to solve issues (both technical and operational) quickly and creatively 

  • Experience and competency in GA/GSC, Microsoft Excel and SEO tools (Screaming Frog, Lumar, Semrush, Ahref & more).
