Job Description

The Role: Media Planning Manager

The Client: Aviva is a leading UK brand with big ambitions to be the go-to financial services company in the UK. They span across sectors including Insurance, Savings, Investment and Retirement, which gives the Planning team at Zenith a broad scope of different objectives, market dynamics and audiences.
Aviva is one of the biggest clients within Zenith UK, with a planning team of 11 people - you will be working on campaigns across brand, consideration and performance - so you can get the full spectrum of media planning under your belt!

Responsibilities:

  • Be go-to person for timely day-to-day running of the team and campaign delivery, with proactivity in client management. Co-ordinating across Consideration & Performance planning for a seamless full funnel approach
  • Build strong, trusted relationships with key, day-to-day clients, understanding the client’s business and identify opportunities and news to share with them on a regular basis to encourage growth
  • Management of two execs, leading by example to ensure the team deliver operational excellence and immaculate client service
  • Working closely with the Strategist & Planning Director on annual responses, leading smaller responses to client briefs to deliver outstanding work every time
  • Embrace and drive positive culture within your team
  • Build positive relationships with partner agencies and suppliers

Requirements:

  • Cross channel media knowledge with an understanding of roles for media and ability to explain the pros/cons of media channels. Although if you just have digital performance or ATL channels, we can help train you in the rest!
  • Prior experience of client management and clear communication skills, able to present ideas with conviction and gravitas
  • Strong coordination and management skills. You should be happy ensuring the day to day running of a large account including smooth financial management, juggling diary commitments, communicating with internal team members through status sessions and earning the trust of other agency partners. As well as the ability to delegate effectively up and downwards
  • Always striving to innovate, try new things and be creative
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines with sharp attention to detail
  • Knowledge of industry research and measurement tools (BARB, TGI, AdIntel)
  • Microsoft office skills – Excel and Powerpoint are essential
