Job Description

As part of Publics Collective’s growing Strategy department, this role will serve as the primary owner and driver of content strategy across media campaigns containing either DCO or DDC creative.

The  Associate Director Strategy, will both develop and support the vision for content strategy across our client’s portfolio by ensuring close collaboration between client teams and key internal stakeholders, delivering content and optimization strategies, building strong relationships, and establishing clear lines of communication with clients, partners, and internal staff members

The role’s responsibilities include crafting clear and actionable creative briefs, assessing content and creative gaps, determining optimal creative formats and messaging needs, building decision trees, and assessing key learnings.

As a member of our team, you will:

  • Partner with Brand Experience to oversee day-to-day content workflow across all media DCO and DDC campaign elements
  • Collaborate with the senior leadership team to set the direction of content strategy within the broader Strategy Team
  • Act as internal lead for all DCO/DDC strategy across client portfolios
  • Working closely with Brand Experience teams and clients to translate client business goals and audience needs into meaningful content strategies
  • Work with clients to develop appropriate content strategy tailored to their respective brands
  • Identify and implement opportunities for creative messaging and campaign concepts, and participate in strategic conversations and decisions for clients
  • Collaborate with client creative teams to ensure brand and messaging consistency on high-level creative content
  • Translate briefs and strategic requirements into compelling digital creative solutions
  • Perform content gap analyses to determine what type of content is missing and what is needed
  • Drive projects and campaigns through the entire creative process
  • Provide vision, direction, management and support to individuals within the team to ensure their work aligns with our mission and goals
  • Form collaborative relationships with other agency capabilities, partner agency teams and third parties as necessary
  • Briefing implementation of content strategies to internal and external stakeholders

Qualifications

 

 

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in advertising, marketing, business, psychology, or a similar area; graduate degree preferred
  • 4+ years of experience in media planning/strategy with progressive levels of responsibility
  • 6+ content or comms or content planning experience in an agency setting with consumer brands
  • Specific experience with dynamic creative optimization 
  • Ability to strategically plan campaigns to align with clienclients'tegic goals and KPIs
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Experience across all media types (national, local, digital, direct, programmatic, etc.)
  • Ability to anticipate and quickly assess continually changing client needs and adapt resources and strategies accordingly
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation, organizational, interpersonal, and analytical skills
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in advertising, marketing, business, psychology, or a similar area; graduate degree preferred
  • Ability to strategically plan campaigns to align with clients' strategic goals and KPIs
  • Ability to anticipate and quickly assess continually changing client needs and adapt resources and strategies accordingly
