As a Resource Manager, Associate Director at Saatchi & Saatchi X, your primary responsibility is to support the success of our business. You will leverage your exceptional problem solving and people skills to promptly deliver high-quality resource utilization and staffing solutions using both internal agency and cross-network resources. You’ll balance multiple high-priority assignments while developing partnerships across the business to provide the highest level of customer service.

The Resource Manager will collaborate with discipline leads to ensure utilization targets are met, solve complex problems and provide out of the box solutions in an ever-changing environment.  They will do this by knowing the resources available, the agency structure and capabilities, and how to best align processes and people to deliver outstanding results. Excellent organizational, relationship, and communication skills are core to this role.

  • Ensure client teams have the right talent by partnering with functional leadership to understand the work and client needs
  • Act as day-to-day contact for Resource Management cross-functionally and inter-agency
  • Construct clear, concise, error-free communications (written and verbal) that provide details required for a specific audience, including clear expectations/action requested and relevant implications (i.e. timing, costs, etc.)
  • Initiate staffing requests for both full time and contracting resources within the agency, network, and among freelance
  • Partner with Recruiting on open reqs, keeping them informed of changing talent needs
  • Maintain and communicate key information to Capacity Partners about current projects, pipeline, and resource forecast and provide daily job status updates to team members
  • Maintain team utilization targets and effectively pool and utilize resources from multiple offices
  • Oversee the direction, fulfillment, and reporting of day-to-day staffing requests with support from Capacity Partners
  • Contribute to reporting for utilization trends and forecasts
  • Maintain an inventory of core skills and track team members’ skills by proficiency, frequency, and context of use

  • Ability to promote smooth workflow and communication between industry teams, ensuring workflow progresses efficiently and projects/staff are shifted as needed
  • Understanding of how skill sets and interests of resources factor into staffing decisions
  • Build and sustain genuine relationships with people across functions. Understand that “We” can be more powerful than “Me.”

Change Champion

  • Identify resourcing change opportunities with agency(s) – help tell the story
  • Identify and engage key stakeholders to champion resourcing change initiatives
  • Sustain change through persistent and consistent resourcing communication and messaging with agency(s) messaging
  • Lead continuous refinement and implementation of capacity management practices for SSX office ensuring it ties to the overall North America Capacity Management practices. Provide recommendations for evolving the capacity management practices for the agency as needed and lead the change.

Set Yourself Apart With

  • 7+ years of resource management/staffing/workforce planning experience, operations, industry, or complex Project management experience; proven ability to manage complex initiatives to successful completion.
  • Experience in staffing/handling workforce solutions within creative agencies
  • Relationship management and influencing skills
  • Must have excellent Excel skills (pivot tables, filtering, and sorting, etc.)
  • Excellent communication skills — written and verbal/presentation
  • Ability to take complex issues or situations and present them in a simple and easy to follow manner
  • Outstanding organizational awareness and change management skills
  • Knowledge of process improvement and facilitation
  • Detail-oriented working style with a strong business focus
  • Outstanding organization and multi-tasking skills
  • Service-oriented attitude (flexible, personable, approachable)
  • Excellent negotiation and leadership skills operating with absolute professionalism and confidentiality

Compensation Range: $83,000-105,000. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. For this role, the Company will offer medical coverage, dental, vision, disability, 401k, and paid time off.
