Job Description

We’re searching for an Account Director, Design to manage the day-to-day operations of key branding accounts, creative asset management and execution, while establishing strong relationships with agency partners and clients at the appropriate level. The Account Director, Design will demonstrate brand design expertise and act as a key contributor to client and agency initiatives, understanding our client’s markets, business model and business problems to serve effectively as a trusted advisor. You’ll also inspire others to build active brands by consistently demonstrating persuasive skills with colleagues.  

Reporting Relationships: 

This position reports directly to the VP, Group Director of Leo Burnett Design. 

Responsibilities: 

  • Collaboration with Design team; ensure adherence to strategy and client/brand standards 

  • Brand knowledge champion and integration with agency partners across Strategic Planning, Digital and Production 

  • Demonstrate excellent client handling skills, navigating day-to-day client relationships as well as leadership teams throughout the Brand process, with oversight and management  

  • Apply a flexible skill set across a variety of client relationships or business solutions 

  • Establish, grow and sustain senior-level client relationships based on trust 

  • Liaise with day-to-day client for creative and production reviews & approvals 

  • Develop and deliver project design briefs, in collaboration with strategic planner as required  

  • Lead creative and production collaboration with integration partners 

  • Provide input and consultation with other agency and client partners 

  • Manage and uphold design process and standards with team and client partners 

  • Responsible for assigned project budgets and financial reporting 

  • Retain key clients and see beyond specific branding assignments to identify broader, longer-term growth opportunities 

Qualifications

  • 6-8 years of Brand Design experience and strong client relationship management skills 

  • Solid knowledge/experience executing for various channels incl. digital, social, print, OOH 

  • Ability to manage Branding process and agency/client teams with oversight from senior business lead. 

  • Strong team mentality with the ability to function at a high level in both lead and supports roles with various personalities. 

  • Proactive and strategic thinker, demonstrates initiative, solutions-oriented 

  • Demonstrated ability to grow existing client relationships 

  • Excellent management skills - ability to manage processes successfully to set teams up for success and deliver against key milestones and deliverables. 

  • Ability to work well under pressure, to manage and support multiple projects - multi-task, prioritize and adjust quickly to changing priorities
