Job Description

Overview:

The Connected Intelligence Manager is a key driver to providing media data as an input to marketing mix modeling, dashboard creation and reporting. The primary responsibilities will include creating dashboards of media campaigns for clients, in Datorama and aggregating the media data for use in marketing mix modeling. This position requires strong data skills with large data sets, intellectual curiosity, proficiency at problem solving, and a critical understanding of online media. The candidate must have a proven track record in data-rich analyses, and be a team player. A “roll up the sleeves” approach is mandatory and a “get it done” attitude is a must. Specific responsibilities include coordination between the strategy, analytics & media teams ensuring high quality analytical projects are effectively delivered. 
 
Successful candidates will be multi-dimensional analytics professionals who are able to employ complex problem solving skills, and are able to communicate these succinctly to a broad client and media stakeholder audience.

Successful candidates will employ complex problem solving skills, have strong analytics ability, be detail oriented, have experience in building dashboards in Datorama (or another Business Intelligence Platform), have experience in ETL tools & providing marketing mix modeling data, have strong coding skills in Python or Alteryx, possess strong managerial skills, excellent written communication skills, be comfortable working within gray areas, and ask probing questions to uncover solutions.

Role Objectives:

The successful candidate will have experience and expertise in how to intersect consulting skills, data, advanced analytics and marketing strategy to drive and improve clients’ business results

  • Pulling mix media data from Datorama and other vendors for all media channels, reformatting into a template and categorizing data by client nomenclature
  • Pull data from vendors (DV360, Facebook, DCM, Innovid, etc), upload to the Datorama platform to create dashboards (including visualizations) and ensure it processes correctly
  • Lead a large extract, transform and load project four times per year to process the media data to provide as an input to the client’s marketing mix modeling, leveraging Python or Alteryx
  • Train analysts to help own portions of the dashboard creation and the media data processing
  • Weekly review of data ingestion to ensure vendor data is arriving as expected
  • Categorize media campaigns into client’s brands and sub-brands and communicate challenges in a timely and clear manner
  • Creation and QA of dashboards to ensure filters and visualizations work as expected
  • Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and groups, facilitating synergy between the Strategy and Investment functions that manage day-to-day client business
  • Build and develop relationships with client business directors and brand teams, ensuring that client and overall data proposition is relevant and aligns with strategy direction
  • Complete other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of working experience in marketing analytics / business intelligence 
  • 2-5 years related experience in digital analytics/dashboard design
  • Demonstrated expertise in dashboard creation (in Datorama, Tableau or another platform), as well as in core MS Excel functions (vlookup, pivot tables, data visualization)
  • Demonstrated expertise in aggregating, extracting, and transforming media data for use in a marketing mix model is required
  • Experience in training junior analysts on dashboard creation and media data aggregation
  • Managerial experience is preferred
  • Experience with online advertising/media, channel marketing, strategic marketing, off-line advertising/media and/or consulting
  • Web analytics platforms (DV360, Google Analytics, DCM, Innovid, IAS, etc.) knowledge a plus
  • Possess strong oral and written communication skills
  • Proficiency with Python or Alteryx (or other ETL tool)
  • Advanced user Microsoft Office Suite and reporting tools
  • Strong verbal/written communication and interpersonal skills is required
  • Self-starter with ability to thrive in an remote environment with gray areas and able to function independently while providing status updates to a US team
