Job Description

A Junior Strategic Planner is an essential source of inspiration and support for both a strategy and creative team.They are the ultimate insight-miner, someone who’s hungry to learn and to share what they love (and see!) with their co-workers to inspire creative briefs. Serves as primary strategic support for senior members of planning team, primarily Senior Planners, Associate Planning Directors, and Planning Directors. Accesses and analyzes data, financial services trends and emerging cultural trends that may relate to client business. Must be Bilingual in English/Spanish. 

  • Always connected with the latest cultural trends.
  • Sharp mind to dig into data and present it in an inspiring way. This means more than sharing what the data says, but rather the opportunities, contradictions and challenges found within it that can lead to a bigger idea about the people we need to reach.
  • Bring forward opportunistic ideas proactively to take advantage of new technologies, launches, pop-culture and current events in real-time. EAT, SLEEP AND BREATHE CULTURE.
  • Help create and present ‘intelligence’ reports in audiences and the latest trends such as connected TVs, social media, startups, emerging technology, cause marketing, pop culture, retail shopping, connected devices, internet of things, wearables, content, etc.

Qualifications

Experience

  • 1-2 years of progressive experience in strategic planning or related media/marketing
  • Knowledge of advertising model is ideal
  • Proficiency with Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Adobe InDesign and Photoshop is highly desirable

Skills and Abilities

  • Balance of analytical and creative thinking with strong writing skills
  • Ability to write and speak proficiently in Spanish and English
  • Ability to gather and analyze research and information, turning it into compelling presentations
  • Ability to learn quickly and adapt to different day to day assignments
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Visual Design skills is a plus
  • Digital knowledge
  • High Proficiency in Word, Excel, Power Point, and Excel
  • Understanding of and ability to manage research (qualitative and quantitative) and research tools
