Job Description

Epsilon is the leader in outcome-based marketing and is positioned at the core of Publicis Groupe. Epsilon PeopleCloud (EPC) is an all-in-one marketing platform that is powered by CORE ID®, the most accurate and stable identity management solution available, and is designed to help marketers generate real business outcomes by managing, activating, monetizing, and growing their 1st party customer data.

The Data Partnerships team at Epsilon is responsible for establishing partnerships with 3rd party data vendors and strategic platforms that support the EPC platform offerings, creating the proprietary Epsilon data assets that enhance EPC platform capabilities, and working directly with agency and client partners on how to best leverage Epsilon and partner data to achieve their objectives.

Epsilon is seeking a Director to focus on the EMEA region to establish partnerships and support Epsilon’s growth goals through the monetization of activation via EPC platforms (Discovery, Prospect, Digital CDP etc.). EPC platforms are currently available in the UK and France, and Epsilon is actively looking to expand in the EMEA region as CORE ID® grows. 

This role will report into the US-based Epsilon Data Partnerships team. Currently, there are 12 full-time Data Partnerships team members dedicated to supporting the US and international data assets across countries, vertical and clients. They work alongside Product & Engineering, Product Marketing and Product Support as well as client support teams and Publicis Groupe client leads.

This new hire will work closely with existing data partners in Europe and identify new partners, as well as find creative approaches to drive more activation and measurement in the region. The primary stakeholders for this position will include Epsilon/Publicis Groupe Executive Leadership, Managing Director of EPC Data Platforms, EPC Product Leads, Epsilon Sales & Account teams, Publicis Groupe central teams, Publicis Groupe agencies, and direct Epsilon clients.

Responsibilities:

Country Prioritization and Regional Alignment for EMEA

  • Work with existing EPC local and global teams, prioritize data sets needed to support the EPC platform in 2 existing markets (UK and France), and the next 3-4 next priority markets as defined by the business
  • Negotiate terms with vendors on behalf of Epsilon and Publicis Groupe to align contracts with client and platform needs
  • Source additional data sets to meet vertical category business measurement requirements for top Publicis Groupe client categories (Travel, Auto, CPG, Consumer Electronics, Fin Serv, Pharma, etc.)

Connectivity, Consistency and Quality

  • Gather requirements from markets, and report back on vendor options, data specifics, and commercials in alignment with Global Data teams
  • Partner with Epsilon Identity team to identify new partners to increase the volume and quality of CORE ID®s
  • Drive consistency across markets, wherever possible, in terms of data providers, taking into account existing arrangements (Publicis Groupe, clients)
  • Ensure that Epsilon PeopleCloud maintains synchronization between any data provider and CORE ID®, and that any matching operations keep data and segments available for teams in markets 

The successful candidate will have local market experience and expertise in the intersection of consulting, data analysis, data strategy, and media activation to drive and improve clients’ business results.

Specific Tasks:

  • Consult with local audience and data acquisition teams to define and answer their most important audience and data coverage questions
  • Support the Epsilon Product and Platform teams to ensure that strategy for ID growth in the EMEA region is appropriately defined and implemented
  • Work collaboratively with rest of the Global Partnership team to consolidate needs from local stakeholders and leverage global client deals at local / regional level
  • Create and maintain a vendor data coverage map for EMEA
  • Work with the entire EPC team to ensure optimal prioritization in terms of data coverage supported by EPC, and leverage experience / expertise from the teams on the data needed
  • Identify new data providers to help support data enrichment
  • Consult and negotiate with providers and partners to ensure optimized data acquisition
  • Leverage cross-client opportunities to drive more value creation for new and existing clients
  • Tells the EPC data story on why data integration/partnerships matter today more than yesterday
  • Provide POV and a high value consultation layer to local / regional level leads on data integration needs to deliver against strategy

Qualifications

  • The candidate must have 5-8 years of experience consulting clients on their data strategy
  • Senior resource must have strong functional understanding of ad tech, data integration, data activation and the data economy, as well as an innovative vision on how the practice should evolve to keep pace with the ever-changing marketing environment
  • Must have demonstrably quantitative skills and the ability to roll up sleeves and dig into the numbers when necessary
  • Must have strong entrepreneurial mind-set with the drive to be proactive, problem solve, and evolve the agency’s data sources & product offering for the mutual benefit of our clients and the agency
  • Must be able to cultivate excellent relationships with data & technology and research partners
  • Must have a strong attention to detail and be able to quality check work to ensure that data anomalies/mistakes are caught prior to delivery of the analysis to the client teams
  • Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Hands-on, problem-solving abilities – “can do” approach (someone who is a thinker and a do-er)
  • Excellent communication skills – written and spoken
  • Previous agreement terms & contract negotiation experience a plus
