This role is focused on the consumer side of the Haleon business – working across category on consumer brands such as Sensodyne, Aquafresh, Voltaren & Otrivin.

They are obsessed with innovating new approaches to support growth.  The agency team is comprised of various people across the Groupe picking the top talent from all agencies. Job Description

Publicis Leon is hiring an experienced multi-market Senior Account Manager for the EMEA & Americas region (AKA Business Units)

This is a high-visibility role, focused on driving media transformation, and greater media effectiveness across 50+ markets. The role will focus on multiple projects aimed at improving Haleon’s global & local media planning capability by rolling out and monitoring technological solutions in all markets, aim for greater central visibility into local media plans to enable strong centralised recommendations, push greater diversity and representation in media planning and activation, and support on other projects such as rolling out and adoption of programmatic strategies, media planning golden rules, agency targets, brand guidelines and more.

This role has huge learning potential across all media channels and new media innovation areas, working on one of the largest international brands in the world. This role will be instrumental in supporting the successful regional rollout across key markets, and consistent coordination across all teams.

We are looking for someone who is an extremely strong communicator who is able to proactively work with clients, local agency teams, senior global stakeholders & external groups.  This role requires media knowledge; local strategy, planning or buying experience, experience working with central/global strategy/planning teams, who would be able to understand global media project objectives and come to discussions with proposed solutions explicitly based around media knowledge. This role has an operational component, but one that requires extensive media knowledge on the day-to-day intricacies of how media works. We want someone who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment and has a problem solving mind.

Key Responsibilities

You will be part of the Leon Global to BU Team, a global account management and project management team, working with our global digital, global category, commercial, data and platform teams to enable Haleon’s transformational vision and proactive strategic agenda. You will be a key stakeholder in supporting local markets, trying to manage their intensive workloads whilst rolling out key global projects. Key projects in 2023:

  • Enabling greater media effectiveness via golden rules, key projects, strategic adoption of key principles
  • Technological transformation: being one of the primary stakeholders in rolling out a new Media Planning Platform (Lumina) across all 92 markets, to enable greater media effectiveness, financial visibility, and media insight, allowing central teams to better understand and recommend local market actions
  • Promoting greater diversity, equality & inclusion in media, working with local teams to diversify their media planning and activation with hard media spend targets for each market
  • Working extensively with local teams to land key global projects, and cross-share and elevate strong media thinking from one market/region to another
  • Problem solve and trouble-shoot daily urgent requests/issues with local teams from Azerbaijan to Argentina
  • Support regional leads in key strategic projects and ensuring that strategy links to planning and activation
  • Undertake qualitative and quantitative research with local markets, Lumina and other planning tools
  • Keep up to date with trends, technologies and innovative solutions

Team/Client Servicing

  • Quickly gains an understanding of the client’s business, product lines and strategic framework and utilizes that knowledge to establish credibility internally across key markets and stakeholders
  • Establish, grow & develop relationship with local agency teams and global clients
  • Become a trusted and influential adviser to regional Publicis Leon teams with media knowledge, rationale, innovation & operational effectiveness
  • Collaborate with planning, strategy, digital, data & activation specialists as well as core hub teams
  • Support in developing process & best practice outlined on the account
  • Working closely with different teams and solutions to pull out relevant insights across the region

Qualifications

Core Competencies

Required:

  • Media agency experience in a media role (or an operations role with extensive media and client experience)
  • Strong knowledge of working within a local market team or a global category/central team with access to media information, and tools training
  • A passion for media and technology and an active interest in how innovation is driving change
  • Exceptional verbal & written communication skills - ability to think on your feet and deliver compelling and convincing work to clients
  • Succinctness in communication
  • Strong analytical skills -ability to analyse data, identify insight and develop actionable recommendations
  • The ability to think, act and contribute creatively as well as strategically
  • Self-motivated and be able to work under their own initiative
  • Problem solving and trouble shooting skills with the ability to identify and escalate as necessary
