The role of the Infrastructure Engineer is to support data center infrastructure and the customers who utilize our systems and services. You stand behind your work at all times ensuring quality, compliance, and stability through documentation review and creation. Strong team collaboration skills, a sense of ownership, and the ability to address customer concerns in a calm and timely manner are paramount to the success of the role. This person will serve as an escalation point for junior technicians and will also be responsible for on-call rotation and occasional off hours support requests.

The ideal candidate is meticulous and uses industry guidelines to measure twice and cut once. You know and understand how critical all of the details are to ensuring compliance from Good Documentation Practices, Data Integrity, married with IT best practices and quality control. You appreciate the importance of paperwork and organization that comprises QC coupled with team collaboration and the occasional customer interaction.

Required technical skills:

• AWS Cloud services experience
• Scripting with PowerShell, Python, or bash
• Infrastructure automation with Terraform or CloudFormation
• Continuous integration and continuous delivery
• Microsoft Windows and Linux Server administration
• Active Directory/DNS/DHCP
• Web hosting skills with IIS, NGINX, or APACHE
• Basic networking: IP Addressing, Subnets, Routing, and Switching

Required skills and qualifications:

• 3-5 years Hands on experience on AWS and Server administration
• Attention to detail - Some may call you a perfectionist
• Highly motivated – Driven to succeed and grow
• Multitasking and work prioritization
• Articulate written and oral communication - You know how to effectively deliver a message
• Adopting a “team first” mentality and working collaboratively to solve problems and meet shared goals.
• Documentation experience - review, creation, testing, execution and cross training

Preferred skills:

• Ability to program and automate tasks in any standard language
• Ability to troubleshoot network related issue from end to end
• Familiar with JIRA, FTP, and monitoring software.
• Hands on knowledge about Network and Security
