Job Description

Our preferred Senior Account Manager candidate will have experience crafting and executing both traditional PR and social media programs. We’re looking for a passionate team player with very strong creative, strategic thinking and organizational abilities who can create and bring to market cross-channel marketing communications strategies for our clients. Ideally, this candidate will have agency experience developing broadly integrated marketing communications strategies.

Some of the amazing work you’ll do:

  • Developing and supporting the execution of PR and social media communication deliverables that meet and exceed client objectives, including narrative development and proactive media relations.
  • Written and verbal outreach with media contacts; strong relationships with media is required.   
  • Strong writing skills are required as you will be drafting and editing a wide variety of media and consumer facing materials and refining narratives that resonate with target audiences.
  • Strategic thinking capabilities to support the development of innovative integrated campaigns; a creative thinker who can bring and idea to market.
  • Oversee fully integrated marketing communications programming including social media and digital programs for existing and new clients
  • Demonstrate an expert understanding of how social/digital and online community engagement integrates into a complete communications program
  • Understanding of ESG programming, corporate communications, earnings and analyst relations is an asset
  • Client experience in Retail, Financial Services, and/or Tech is considered an asset
  • Community relations experience is an asset
  • Strong client management and leadership skills; a demonstrated passion for client services
  • Building and managing project budgets
  • Ability to work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment
  • Ongoing tracking and knowledge of industry & brand best practices
  • Ability to contributing to a positive culture of collaboration, coaching, development and mentoring for junior team members

Qualifications

Our ideal candidate will also possess the following:

  • Post-graduate diploma in Public Relations, Corporate Communications or related discipline
  • Experience in an agency or corporate environment with a focus on media relations and corporate communications is ideal
  • Corporate and Financial Services communications experience
  • Excellent communication skills, dynamic, team player, excellent time management and organizational skills and is detail-oriented
  • An understanding of integrated earned and social media campaign needs related to platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Pinterest, etc. is an asset
  • An unwavering positive attitude to opportunities and challenges in an ever-changing environment
