Job Description

What will I be doing?

Due to the broad client base, you will have exposure across both Brand and Performance activations, and deliver at a regional, national, and global level. This is a huge opportunity for your career growth; learning and developing within the team, as well as contributing your knowledge, expertise, and point of view.

The Starcom Display Investment team is responsible for planning and buying both Programmatic Display and Print Media. The team is comprised of 30+ individuals with diverse skills and expertise across the media and technology landscape. 

  • Establish yourself as the key go-to Display contact for your Clients and Senior Planning leads
  • Ensure delivery of best practice planning and buying products. As the Manager, you will have the ultimate responsibility for your team’s output – strong rationales informed by data, rigorously thought out plans, accurate and insightful reporting
  • Assist clients in building future-facing programmatic solutions and ways of working
  • Design measurement solutions that demonstrate the efficacy of campaigns.
  • Manage internal relationships with other Planning, Activation, and internal specialists, as well as external relationships with clients, supplier partners, and 3rd parties
  • Managing junior members of the team with responsibility for their well-being, workflows, and learning and development (inclusive of appraisals)

Qualifications

Programmatic background and your print/publisher experience will be very valuable in this role.

  • Understanding of the programmatic digital marketplace, inclusive of ad-tech and programmatic opportunities (although programmatic trading experience is not a requirement)
  • Digital media experience within a managerial role will be beneficial
  • Great negotiation skills and commercial appreciation
  • Excellent relationships with media owners and 3rd party suppliers
  • Well-versed in handling clients and multiple stakeholders such as direct client-facing PCA presentations
  • Experience in training / delegating work to more junior team members
