The Global Production team forms part of Publicis Groupe’s key growth propositions alongside Creative, Commerce, Media, and Content. It exists to develop and produce high quality production solutions globally through existing organic growth and direct-to-client new business opportunities.

As part of its ambitious growth plan, Publicis Production wishes to become a household name and needs a Global Production Marketing and Communications Director who has the experience and capability to take on that challenge.

Job Description

The successful candidate will work hand in hand with the Global Production Strategy Director to market and communicate the Groupe’s production brands and go-to-market propositions, contributing to raising their awareness, generating leads, converting global production new business opportunities – both new and organic, and supporting markets to drive disproportionate growth for both Publicis and our clients. They will also be charged with creating a strong and cohesive internal culture globally to support this growth.

Within the production network, the role works daily, with local production operations worldwide and members of the global team across global production client leads, tech solutions, offshore operations and commercial teams.

Within the wider Groupe, the role collaborates daily with the Groupe Global Business Development team, local leadership/new business teams and Global Client Leads to drive both new and existing client, competitive and non-competitive, organic growth.

Success will be defined as disproportionally growing the reputation, both internally and externally, of the Groupe’s production brands and products, through the definition of a clear go-to-market production proposition (brands and products), its marketing through strategic and highly effective PR activity and the build of a strong and cohesive culture internally, with the goal of significantly. 

improving our new business pipeline and conversion, and accelerating the development of existing clients.

Key responsibilities

  • Articulate clear positioning and go-to-market propositions for the Groupe’s main production main brands
  • Market these propositions as a single offering as well as part of a Groupe offering connected to creative, media and commerce, relevant to our clients and agency brands around the world
  • Bring these propositions to life through consistent look & feel across all our collateral from creds decks to reels
  • Identify internal and external audiences: manage and keep internal and external mailings lists/key contacts lists up to date.
  • Create a strong and cohesive culture internally; manage and support internal coms: events/celebrations, announcements, write and distribute internal memos…
  • Build and deliver a strategic coms plans in a way that will raise the awareness of the Groupe’s go-to-market production proposition, generate leads and help convert them, that should include but is not limited to:
    • Identifying PR actions and spokespeople: media relations, events, awards…
    • Maintaining the main brands’ global websites
    • Curate and publish monthly newsletter
    • Define social strategy
  • Collaborate with design and production teams for support on out-puts listed above
  • Act as a point of contact for Publicis Groupe communications to provide information upon request: internal and external key contacts, best work, network data….
  • Deliver cohesive global Publicis production brand positioning and communications with the bold ambition to become a household brand

Qualifications

  • Minimum 15 years’ experience in marketing and coms, at least 7 in the media industry and at least 3 in global roles
  • Deep understanding of the advertising/media industry, what drives it (people, awards, topics…) and deep connection with main media outlets/journalists
  • Good understanding of main trends in the industry and in production
  • Ability to function at both operational and strategic levels
  • Happy to work in a very lean team and manner, resourceful, independent
  • Ability and want to multi-task: adapt and respond to changing requirements
  • Experienced with liaising with senior stakeholders worldwide, both inside the company and outside

Success criteria

  • Clear articulation of brands, products, strategy and positioning of Publicis Production globally
  • Definition and implementation of marketing plan for a clear GTM proposition
  • PR plan with strategic and successful actions, consistent with and elevating the GTM proposition
  • Strong, cohesive and integrated culture internally
  • Significant improvement of awareness and reputation both internally and externally, measured through growth pipeline and conversion rate, for both net new and existing client growth, whether competitive or not
