Job Description

Working within the  Langland Public Relations & Policy (PRP) team, we are looking for a Social Media Strategist to join where you will oversee social media activities with clients (x2) and provide ad-hoc consultancy to the wider PR discipline.

You will provide  consultancy from a digital/social perspective during client planning and will collaborate  directly with the social media manager and executives responsible for engagement, moderation, and activation.

You'll be able to:

·       Understand how to identify and tap social influencers

·       Adept in undertaking and advising on the best way to use social media to gain audience insights, both from a quantitative and qualitative perspective

·       Demonstrates a comprehensive and up to date understanding of the social media landscape and how this can benefit client's business

·       Actively seeks opportunities for growth of social media within account mix and more broadly across the agency

·       Translate overall brand strategies and campaigns to align with social behaviours, mind-sets, channels, and technology

·       Demonstrates the ability to integrate emerging technologies and social media into client recommendation

Client Relations/Communications Skills

·       Build and maintain relationships with assigned clients and seek opportunities to strengthen/build new relationships with the extended client team

·       Seek opportunities to showcase Langland work among current/prospective clients

·       Seek opportunities to grow current accounts and new accounts connected with that client

·       Demonstrate expert presentation skills

·       Demonstrate the ability to adapt to various client corporate cultures

Interpersonal/Leadership Skills

·       Conveys credibility and maintains positive, professional image both internally and externally

·       Ability to lead project teams of moderate complexity; strong teamwork and collaboration skills

·       Comfortable working with a broad range of cross functional staff – junior to senior, creatives to media, design to analytics, etc.

·       Ability to solve client issues, independently moderate conflicts and influence management decisions

·       Comfortable in conducting technical social media training for individuals of all levels across the agency and broader network, as required

·       Experience in healthcare communications environment preferred

 

Qualifications

·       You’ll have proven experience in a social media strategist role or similar experience

·       Pharmaceutical client experience is a benefit but not a must

·       You’ll have demonstrable skills of working on a variety of global/regional/UK projects, and multiple accounts

·       You will have exceptionally strong verbal and written communication skills and be seen as a credible ‘voice’ to both clients and internal stakeholders alike

·       You’ll understand how to develop social media strategies which includes conducting research through social listening
