London-based advertising post production studio seeks an experienced executive to serve as Executive Producer of its advertising business, expanding the enterprise while overseeing all commercial content activities and disciplines.  This position will also support and drive sales and marketing.  The Executive Producer will be responsible for managing all advertising-related operations and for developing new and maintaining ongoing client relationships with agencies, brands, creatives, directors, producers, and the advertising community.  An ideal candidate will be highly motivated and entrepreneurial, with extreme attention to detail, the ability set and execute overall strategy, compelling business expertise, and a significant tenure in the industry. The Executive Producer will serve on and report directly to the UK executive management team.

Job Description

  • Lead and manage all studio operations, talent, capabilities, and performance for advertising business in the UK
    • Get to the core, analytically, of all upcoming, perceived, and actual needs for resources such as real estate, staffing, technology, etc.
    • Create executional roadmaps that balance financial realities with business/strategic needs/timelines
    • Ensure all talent reels are properly and tastefully curated
    • Ensure all talent is pitched in the most compelling manner
  • Develop and execute strategy across the 4 principal business pillars to generate growth
    • Traditional Model: Production and Post-Production Vendor to Creative Agencies
    • Hybrid Production Agency Model: Creative & Strategy Support to Creative Agencies as well as production/post-production execution
    • Hybrid Creative-Production Company Model: Direct to Media Agencies
    • Hybrid Creative-Production Company Model: Direct to Brand
  • Interact directly with agency creatives and producers to drive awards of productions
  • Develop and grow network of clients, production companies, direct brands, and key creatives in order to recognize new business opportunities and foster relationships to encourage repeat business and revenue growth
  • Align practices to garner project awards across all industry tiers (1-3)
  • Refine and spearhead advertising organization to effectively manage teams in a highly structured and dynamic fashion, ensuring prioritization of business growth, quality of creative experience/delivery, and sustainable staffing, along with the following duties:
    • Create culture of accountability and ownership at the department and individual levels
    • Set tenor for culture and approach
    • Spearhead cutting edge workflows and other capabilities, reviewing and refining frequently, and compellingly make the case for them to clients so as to differentiate the company’s offering and garner project awards
    • Ensure each discipline/offering is properly organized and resourced in terms of personnel, equipment, and technology
  • Manage and oversee all day-to-day activities within the advertising operation, enlisting key senior support leaders (e.g. talent, technology, finance), as required
  • Take ownership of and manage the business’s financial performance with the support of a dedicated finance team (including P&L, staffing & revenue forecasts, sales pipeline, etc.)
  • Work in partnership with executive management, to ensure that real estate, production & creative staff, technology and shared resources are most efficiently utilized
  • Work closely with executive management team to develop and execute innovative and achievable go-forward strategies
  • Working with the Senior colourists and the wider team of assistants and operators for seamless project workflow and consistent work product, including key involvement in establishing and monitoring colour pipeline(s) and standard practice workflows used globally by the company, whilst identifying, updating and communicating project specific workflow requirements
  • In partnership with the engineering and management teams, identify, budget and procure new or updates to existing technology offerings to support current and future operations, across all advertising disciplines
  • Oversee space and talent allocation to ensure efficient & effective deployment of resources
  • Drive talent recruitment and plan for future staffing, freelance, real estate, and equipment needs in advance, in consultation with executive management, finance, talent, and technology teams
  • Oversee and set accountability for proactive management of all current, upcoming and wrapping projects in the facility to ensure proper equipping, execution, billing, reporting, and a positive client experience
  • Support scheduling, bidding, actualizing, and invoicing of editorial, color, conform, finish, VFX and sound jobs happening in the facility, on set, and remotely
  • Manage and oversee quality control processes to ensure consistent, flawless and on-time delivery
  • Maintain database of all clients (names, agencies, applicable jobs, contact information, etc.) with marketing department
  • Proactively expand company’s client list through strategic outreach and pitching to successfully grow the sales pipeline, setting KPIs for and driving sales, BD, and engagement teams
  • Communicate frequently with current and past clients to evaluate satisfaction, quality of experience, and upcoming projects, with the goal of increasing the volume of awarded projects and proactively countering any areas of perceived or real weakness
  • Act as a brand ambassador for company’s global offering at all times: promote ongoing client and sector relationships through direct communication, industry events, social efforts, strategic introductions, etc.
  • Maintain and/or oversee list of clients with prospective, pending, upcoming, active, and recently completed jobs
  • Provide constructive feedback and proactive solutions to artists and management stakeholders about client experience
  • Liaise with all supporting teams to ensure expectations are met for all client-attended sessions/shoots
  • Other responsibilities, as assigned and required
