Job Description

The Global Digital Effectiveness Director / Lead role is a key leadership position in the Publicis Leon media team serving the Haleon (formerly GSK consumer health) business.   The individual will need to capably blend strategic conversations on the direction of digital strategy and activation with clients and colleagues, while also having the ability to work with key partners to tactically deliver on these recommendations for maximum impact to driving business growth.

Key role requirements:

  • Lead Digital Effectiveness Measurement globally
    • Serve as the key interface with Haleon CBIA (Consumer Business Insights & Analytics) digital effectiveness lead supporting on Pre- and Post-flight digital measurement
    • Develop and steward confidence and mutual respect within Sr.-level client stakeholders on strategic direction and delivery of digital effectiveness measurement globally across 90+ markets worldwide
    • Support wider learning and capability development, including efforts to design measurement playbooks and KPI frameworks to foster alignment across organization (client and agency)
    • Partner within holding company to solicit new ideas and foster best-in-class sharing of case studies and innovation in marketplace
  • Test, Learn and Scale
    • Partner effectively with colleagues who lead the global learning agenda and development of Haleon’s Test, Learn and Scale capability program
    • Where appropriate, plug in as the subject matter expert on program and help guide organization toward streamlined tests and insights on Digital Effectiveness
    • Partner with Haleon’s Media Learning pillar lead, to effectively land the program in key business units globally
  • Attention measurement
    • As a key priority within Digital Effectiveness Measurement, support the continued expansion of a testing program to evaluate the use of consumer attention as a metric to optimise media
    • Work with the media and creative Haleon leads to assess vendors and conduct experiments, providing expertise and knowledge in recommendations
    • Support adoption of attention measurement in partnership with key business units locally, ensuring testing is valid and monitoring ability to scale across wider business units or markets.
  • Attribution approaches and strategies
    • Noting the consumer product vertical this client competes within, help develop an approach to digital / omni-channel attribution that makes sense for ongoing effectiveness measurement
    • Support work with tech partners (eg. Google, Amazon) to assess approaches to attribution available within the marketplace
    • Support tactical validation of attribution testing or modelling, by being engaged and involved in Ads Data Hub (ADH) or Big Query-type analytics efforts
  • Support Wider Strategic Measurement Priorities
    • Digital Effectiveness Measurement is a key pillar within our global approach and strategy and sits within wider Strategic Measurement efforts like Always-On MMM efforts and wider meta-analysis work.
    • Partner effectively with colleagues within Measurement to help shape and deliver a holistic global measurement solution to local markets and for global stakeholders.
    • Ensure wider integrated efforts across Strategic Planning, Account Management, and Investment teams to ensure a consistent voice and point-of-view is being facilitated to clients, partners, and consumers.

Qualifications

  • Experience in Marketing and Media Attribution, with recent focus on Digital Effectiveness
  • Strong knowledge of multiple consumer data, advanced analytic methods and modeling techniques, intelligence and visualization tools
  • In light of ongoing privacy protection evolutions, keen understanding of analytics attribution methodologies and a clear understanding of the capabilities and limitations of technology / partners to support
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively build partnerships and influence stakeholders and decision making at executive levels of an organization
  • Understand the role of global teams to drive consistent adoption of strategies and frameworks locally across teams, ensuring local nuances are understood and planned for in advance
  • Strong Ability to move from data analytics to insights to action, including gaining adoption of his/her team’s recommendations
  • Agility and independent management, with demonstrated ability to devise an effective solution in matrixed organizations
