Job Description

The Business Development Director will manage the key components of the agency’s new business efforts, partnering with key leaders to increase growth opportunities for new clients in the Razorfish portfolio.    

  • Collaborate with senior leaders on Razorfish’s new business strategy, recommending continual refinements to our approach 
  • Ability to assess an opportunity for its potential to create longer-term value; determine potential ways in 
  • Pre-qualify incoming leads by analyzing market strategies, competition, business challenges and geographical needs/ desires 
  • Build and maintain new relationships; prospect outreach/ relationship development 
  • Understand and articulate (orally, written, PowerPoint presentation) the company value proposition into credentials with up-to-date information and latest thinking 
  • Formulate and keep updated “common RFP questions” and pre-vetted answers re: agency network, financials, capabilities and talent 
  • Partner with Managing Director’s/Functional Leader’s to develop compelling case studies of our work that showcase our capabilities and results driven by Razorfish globally 
  • Act as a network connector, increasing better share & reapplication through driving a simple approach to archiving and accessing key new business assets. 
  • Partner with cross discipline teams to develop responses to RFI/ RFP/ new business proposals that ensure a winning strategy with relevant network experiences demonstrating our ability to solve the key client challenge 
  • Pro-actively brings recommendations for refinement, improvement and sharing of the Razorfish pitch process for greater success and efficiency 
  • Own the consolidation of required pitch materials such as presentations, case study examples, etc. in partnership with local offices where appropriate, for future use 
  • Build relationships with key outside partners to build broader, better working knowledge of Razorfish capabilities 
  • Promote new business best practices across Razorfish offices 
  • Manage inbound prospect conversion funnels and CRM system 
  • Partner with Razorfish Account leads to identify organic growth opportunities and execute intentional organic growth plans 

Qualifications

SKILLSETS AND EXPERTISE 

  • 7+ years of related/agency experience 
  • Business development experience 
  • Exceptional written communicator; Superior organization and project management skills 
  • Knowledge of key social media tools, how to leverage strategically to deliver key messages, and how to manage (Facebook, Twitter, Linkedin, Wordpress, Unbounce) 
  • Strong interpersonal skills; able to engage effectively across many levels and functions within the company 
  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task under deadlines 
  • Self-starter able to work with minimal supervision 
  • Excellent Word, Excel, Power-point and Keynote skills; ability to learn/use other information systems 
  • Working knowledge of agency profitability model

Compensation Range: $121,000 - $204,500.  This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. For this role, the Company will offer medical coverage, dental, vision, disability, 401k, and paid time off
