Job Description

The core purpose of the Paid Social Associate Director is to lead and develop TikTok’s paid social strategy, across the EMEA and MENA region.

 

This person will be responsible for delivering innovative paid social strategy, detailed plan development and all aspects of execution, assisted by a team of Managers, Senior Executives and Executives based in London and in Publicis Global Delivery team in Mumbai. As a primary point of contact for TikTok’s central marketing team as well as local Publicis teams, the director will be responsible for ensuring that excellent service is upheld and campaigns are faultlessly executed. The paid social remit for TikTok will include high profile campaigns and time sensitive activations, so good communication, excellent organisation and strong attention to detail are key. The Paid Social Associate Director will deliver on four key objectives:

 

1. Strategic Thought Leadership

In collaboration with digital director and strategy team the Associate Director will devise, implement and deliver innovative Paid Social strategy. Responsible for refining strategic approach by designing a measurement roadmap, executing test & learns, pitching activity on new platforms, running alpha/betas and securing agency or category firsts. Leads on client education of all channel/market developments.

 

2. Drive Outstanding Performance

Oversees high standard of Paid Social campaign effectiveness. Accountable for the learning and development of all direct and indirect reports and continually coaches team on performance, driving accountability to enable faultless client service.

 

3. Account Growth & Maturity

Grows and develops the TikTok account, consistently increasing spend and platform, product and technology adoption.

 

4. Build a Centre of Excellence

Achieves in depth understanding of client business objectives and priorities and how to achieve them. Designs better ways of working to achieve client aims/ satisfaction/ targets. Identifies, devises and utilizes quality processes, initiatives and tools, resulting in a consistent and efficient approach.

 

This role will report into the Social Director, with a dotted line into the TikTok hub lead

Qualifications

Overall leadership of EMEA and MENA paid social activation programme. This role will have the following responsibilities:

  • Lead on strategic development and paid social planning for the TikTok account, ensuring best in class strategy is followed and day-to-day campaign activation is in line with wider client business goals.
  • Clear and timely communication with clients and other members of the team.
  • Develop, install and supervise efficient best practice, quality team materials and standardisation of processes across the team.
  • Ensure your team delivers a high standard of work across planning, reporting, optimization, communication, billing, reconciliation and all other tasks required as part of running the TikTok accounts.
  • Identify opportunities to deploy advanced measurement techniques and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to seek effective cross media buying practice. Devise and execute a test & learn roadmap, with the aim of challenging our core strategic approach and delivering progressive insight.
  • Champion best practice and produce quality case study and award submissions.
  • To create a strong ‘team’ ethos and exhibit focused and positive team leadership.

Must have

  • Experience planning, managing and activating large, high profile campaigns on Paid Social channels (Meta, Twitter, Pinterest, LinkedIn, TikTok, Snapchat).
  • Up to date certifications across all social platforms.
  • Ability to thrive under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
