We are seeking an Associate Creative Director, Copy, to lead a small creative team focused on clinical trial recruitment campaigns. This hands-on role, reporting into the Managing Director, will involve overseeing and reviewing creative output across copy and art, participating in the company leadership team as the creative lead, and contributing big ideas and copy as a part of a creative pair/overseeing conceptual teams on smaller campaigns. This is an exciting opportunity to work as part of a small agency across multiple unique campaigns, regularly developing conceptual ideas and brand identities to drive engagement and education with empathy. 

Healthcare experience is not required, but you should have experience in developing excellent creative in a regulated environment. 

 

 

Job Description

What you’re here to do 

  • Build and foster an environment of creativity and ideas-led solutions in the agency 

  • Lead by example, creating innovative, channel-neutral ideas that answer the client's brief and resonate with target patient/HCP audiences 

  • Maintain Langland’s reputation for outstanding execution by ensuring that all work is produced to the highest possible standards 

  • Oversee the execution of the creative work, inputting into pre-production activity, attending photo and video shoots and supervising post-production to realize your creative vision 

  • Demonstrate to clients that you understand and appreciate their communication challenges and are responsive to their strategic needs 

  • Originate copy for larger campaigns if needed, critique and support the output of writers, and review conceptual and design work as a whole 

  • On smaller campaigns, oversee creative teams and evaluate concepts and branding 

  • Work with the leadership team to address performance, workflow, scoping, and quality issues and develop long-range plans for the team 

  • Ensure that internal systems and processes are always adhered to, partnering with leadership to recommend process improvements as needed 

  • Lead the creative efforts on new business assignments, as needed 

  • Ensure that creative presentations to the client meet the highest professional standards and are delivered on time 

  • Support recommendations for ongoing staffing needs across the creative team in a project-based (not AOR) environment  

Qualifications

  • 6+ years of agency experience with primarily a copy background 

  • A proven track record of conceptual creative ability and judgment, with a multi-disciplinary and well-crafted portfolio 

  • Comfortable working in a small and flexible team 

  • Successful client contact experience and ability to grow business organically 

  • The ability to work collaboratively with account management 

  • Great attention to detail  

  • Excellent presentation skills 

  • Successful experience in managing creatives 

  • Ability to self-manage projects and to work within deadlines 

  • A science-based degree can be a benefit, as we often work with clinical papers, but is not essential

Compensation Range [$98,500-$165,500]

This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. For this role, the Company will offer medical coverage, dental, vision, disability, 401k, and paid time off.
