Job Description

The Publicis Media Precision product organization provides valuable analytics, workflow automation, data science and content tools to all Publicis Media agencies. The Product Management team is responsible for identifying, cultivating, prioritizing, and managing the development of custom tools, reports, analyses, and enhancements to help ensure best-in-class products and processes that differentiate Publicis Groupe from the competition.

The Associate Director of Product Management, Analytics will own the output for a centralized Analytics suite designed to help both strategists and traders differentiate Publicis media from the competition.  With access to thousands of campaigns across multiple DSPs from clients across every vertical, the successful candidate will create insights that help traders optimize their campaign, while also create benchmarks that help strategists make the most of their media investments.  The successful candidate will provide direction to an engineering team of back end and front end Tableau developers.  

The ideal candidate will have extensive insights and analytics experience in the digital media planning and buying space across programmatic, search and social.  Most importantly, they must possess a strong inner drive to simplify the digital media landscape through insights, enjoy working with some of the finest minds in the industry, and want to be a part of something truly unique that will have a lasting impact on the Publicis Groupe network of agencies.  

  • Strategic Vision and Subject Matter Expertise – Must be able to understand the value of digital campaign data across programmatic, search and social and be able to surface insights and recommendations in easy to consume outputs
  • Tactical Execution – Ensure operational excellence through continuous refinement of best practices, tactics, and processes.  Must be familiar with agile, and an emphasis on lean methodology a plus
  • Product Manager as GM – There are many types of product managers, and we look for PMs that think of themselves as general managers.  This means embracing the full product development cycle from market demand to assessing business value to software development to release and post-release engagement.  

Qualifications

Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with and provide direction to an analytics pod of product managers, engineers, Tableau developers, and solutions enablement.  Provide product management best practices.  
  • Manage, prioritize, deliver and communicate on new feature requests, bugs, maintenance and new client onboarding requests.
  • Stay abreast of emerging topics in the digital display marketplace through industry trades and connections, including working with partners to gather insights.
  • Collaborate with various internal teams (business intelligence, engineering, analytics, data integrations) to identify, understand, document, and prioritize new products and features.  Coordinate and drive meetings with stakeholders to facilitate open and clear discussion around feature discovery and understanding.
  • Ensure deliverables are executed against roadmap timing by managing the entire Agile process of the PM Platform Development team (sprint planning, backlog grooming, scrum, UAT, etc.).
  • Manage go-to-market strategy and process by working with other Digital Center of Excellence teams for product releases.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 3-4 years of experience in product management, product development, ad technology, or related field, specifically related to insights and analytics
  • Experience with Agile product development.  Lean methodology is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of the digital media ecosystem with clear grasp of key challenges and opportunities within the marketplace today.  Strong familiarity with existing and emerging programmatic ad products
  •  Demonstrated ability to manage backlogs, roadmaps, and stakeholder input
  • Experience with JIRA or other product management/ticketing software
  • Demonstrated leadership skills
  • Ability to lead projects independently from start to finish, working with internal and external teams to make decisions and maintain forward momentum
  • Entrepreneurial mindset and desire to improve Publicis Media offerings

Compensation Range: $106,500-$150,000 annually. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. For this role, the Company will offer medical coverage, dental, vision, disability, 401k, and paid time off.
