We launched the Commerce Practice to the market in March 2018, to deliver the strongest commerce assets in each market we serve, ensuring the right level of global consistency. 

We’re looking for an experienced New Business Manager with a focus on business development  from any source, identifying organic growth to new business RFIs and pitches. You are someone who can quickly get the heart of a client’s problems and motivations and effectively show them how commerce and media can solve those problems, and working with the senior commerce team, create a winning pitch.

Our business is growing rapidly, you will need to be the sort of person who flourishes in a fluid and fast-paced environment with exposure to accounts across a range of sectors.

As well as being the focus for new business, if you’re the sort of person who likes to drive new business and also get involved in activation, there’s every opportunity to do so.

 

Job Description

We are looking for somebody who has a strong commerce background along with new business project management experience in a good capacity to deliver briefs from exisiting and new clients but mostly lead our commerce new business responses. This person will have an understanding of commerce and its different sales channel as well as knowledge of the ecommerce tech landscape and its commercial models. 

We are looking for somebody who has rounded commerce experience having worked for a brand, retailer or agency. They will understand the organisational complexity involved in managing indirect commerce channels and will have worked across a variety of verticals which should ideally include tech. It is critical that this person can define commerce and talk credibly and influence external and internal clients.

Commerce New Business   

The role primarily spans driving new opportunities into the business, managing RFI and RFP responses, creating case studies, creating brilliant chemistry meetings and working with the agency teams to ensure the pitches are won and commerce is included. Their role is to make New Business exciting and be the core of the team.

•       Generating new opportunities organically within the Publicis network

•       Create Commerce checklist for all responses

•       Lead and project manage pitch effort for new potential clients

•       Work with Marketing team to generate noise around commerce wins

Commerce Consulting and Execution

Support the senior team with establishing a comprehensive market-leading proposition driving incremental revenue into the Groupe

•       Support with productisation of commerce solutions to unlock new revenue streams

•       Consult for existing clients across a variety of industry verticals

•       Short term attachment to client business on a project basis as required

•       Accountable for driving a revenue target across list of focus clients

The person that fills this role needs to be positive, energetic and a shining example of the kind of great talent we need to fill the team with.

 

Qualifications

Experience:

-3+ years’ experience of managing commerce activity for a brand, retailer or agency

- Proven experience of delivering successful pitches/new business responses

- Experience of working within a tech environment would be a real bonus

- Strong logical thinking and outstanding project management skills

- Able to work independently as well as part of a team
