Job Description

BACKGROUND: Leo Burnett is seeking an Account Executive to serve in a key role within our Business Leadership team. We’re part of a customized solution and disruptive agency model across Boston and Chicago, chosen by our agencies to represent Publicis at the highest level to drive creative business solutions in the form of 360 campaigns for a blue chip financial services institution. 

OPPORTUNITY: The Account Executive will be given the opportunity to build their strength in both business leadership and project management to ensure our goals are met by honing their skills across the below areas of focus. 

CRAFT: The AE is responsible for implementation of client projects to ensure they run smoothly and flawlessly. In doing so, they'll apply basic knowledge of clients business, business economics, customer insights, marketing strategy/channels and competitive analysis to day-to-day work. 

COMMUNICATION: The AE keeps appropriate internal and external stakeholders informed of project status, anticipated roadblocks and impact on others workstreams while creating dependable and organized communications. 

POWER PARTNERSHIP: Builds trust with internal team and external clients. Utilizes other parts of the agency to deliver work efficiently while being a valuable resource to the team and client.

BUSINESS MANAGEMENT: Manages small to medium sized projects simultaneously in a way that ensures progress from conception to completion while staying within scope, budget and time frame. Supports the Account Management and Project Management Leads by creating and managing project timelines via a cross-capability approach, effectively prioritizes work and manages time. 

FINANCIAL RESPONSIBILITY: A large component of this role entails providing percent-complete for fully owned projects, updating budget reports in a consistent and accurate manner, anticipates upcoming resourcing and staffing needs on future projects, understands the connection between work effort/hours spent and budget, develops accurate and informed scopes of work for small to medium-sized projects, including schedules and budgets and recognizes when change in scope documentation is necessary.

PEOPLE & TEAMWORK: Prioritizes effective problem resolution, shares successes and lessons learned, demonstrates agility by working effectively in a variety of environments and demonstrates hunger for new knowledge.  

Qualifications

Experience:  

2-4 years agency experience, ideally within a larger agency setting with a clear understanding of the nuances of cross-function departmental collaboration. 

Hard skills (brand, retail, digital, production, research, etc.):

An eye for detail and a strength in project management and work stream oversight. Strategy, Brand, Integrated campaigns, content development and production, understanding of research methodologies.

Soft skills (client/team culture, communication style, flexibility, etc.):
