Job Description

We’re searching for a Senior Art Director who has a fresh viewpoint and a knack for transforming concepts into cutting-edge visual solutions. You’ll design and implement imaginative visual materials for integrated, cross-channel initiatives including web, video and social advertising for one of our major AOR accounts. Under the direction of a Creative Lead, you will work hands-on on several projects at a time and will be involved in all phases of creative development. You will be responsible for planning and executing portions of projects independently or in conjunction with other team members. You work autonomously, with limited oversight from your manager to produce industry-leading work. 

We are looking for someone with strong conceptual and hands on design skills, with a broad knowledge of interactive/digital experiences including web and mobile. You will put your passion for details and pixel perfect delivery to the test while working with copywriters to help create cutting edge content. 

Tasks and responsibilities include: 

  • Responsible for guiding Creative teams in the successful creation and production of design solutions for assigned account 

  • Plans and directs many aspects of assigned projects, and serves as an integral member of the Creative team 

  • Accountable for managing a team of Creatives, and guiding them in the development of creative work that is consistently sound, and of excellent caliber 

  • Mentors and leads junior Creative staff members, and guides their work and helps take it to the next level. 

  • Directs the effort to translate established creative direction into conceptual ideas 

  • Participates as a Creative team member in new-business development effort

Qualifications

Qualifications 

  • Must be conceptual/an idea person as well as hands on with strong digital design skills 

  • Minimum 3-6 years' experience 

  • Demonstrate a thorough knowledge of the steps in the creative development process and provide guidance to achieve creative direction; gives timely and helpful coaching; and produces all work in a timely, cost-effective manner 

  • Good written and verbal presentation skills 

  • Good people-management and coaching skills 

  • Ability to solve problems using keen instincts and organizational experience 

  • Proficiency in InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop. Knowledge in After Effect and Figma a plus. 

  • Ability to take feedback, collaborate and help establish a new team with a great attitude is critical

Compensation Range: $65 - $100/hr  This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time.  This role may be eligible to participate in our freelancer/temporary employee medical plan through a third-party benefits administration system once certain criteria have been met.  This role may also qualify for participation in our 401(k) plan after eligibility criteria have been met.
