Job Description

Digitas Health is seeking a Director, Channel Strategy (part of Engagement Strategy)

To further accelerate this ambition, we are looking for an outstanding Director, Channel Strategy – someone who champions innovative problem-solution approaches and methodologies to client problems based on an understanding of patient/HCP needs, as well as business and marketing challenges.

In this role, you will serve as the day-to-day Strategist for cross-agency and client teams focused on business and channel strategies.  As such, you will: 

  • Lead in recommendations on delivering channel strategy for improving marketing effectiveness and efficiencies for omnichannel (digital and non-digital) initiatives, including sites, IVA, emails and media platforms
  • Develop channel strategy to support short- and long-term business and experience objectives that maximizes the value of the above platforms in the ecosystem
  • Able to translate research, personas, strategy objectives into justification for tactic features and functionalities
  • Knowledge of personalized CRM programs and able to translate engagement needs into channel strategy
  • Map and define channel vision and roadmap to launches and GTM tactical platforms
  • Create business rules for personalization, test and learn, measurement and to some degree modular content implementation
  • In-depth experience with tactic knowledge and collaboration with UX, creative technology, MOPs and analytics
  • Partner with other members of the team to help lead the organization, mobilizing and socialization of team efforts to gain executive sponsorship of deliverables
  • Knowledge in developing frameworks, playbooks and governance for large initiatives
  • High degree of diplomacy and empathy for the Agile environment; comfort in ambiguous environments and the ability to think on the spot on live daily working sessions with clients
  • Experience in a diverse array of applications, platforms and technologies such as CRM/CMS/marketing automation systems and be able to communicate at a high level on how they impact strategy
  • Collaborate and work directly with clients who work within an Agile/Scrum framework to accomplish all of the above.

You will also work with other team members to:

  • Be the voice of strategy; ensuring that tactical build and development meets strategic objectives
  • Play the role of targets; understanding how they interact in the ecosystem, then developing experiences based on the motivation behind those behaviors to provide service value
  • Drive iteration. Leverage the value of continuous improvement and a test and learn mindset to deliver the most value to end-users over time.
  • Champion the use of data; partnering with data-scientists to understand behaviors and uncover unexpected insight that inspire bold ideas for how a brand should connect
  • Envision and design orchestrated systems for brand communications; collaborating with technologists, experience designers and creative teams to bring modern communication architectures to life

Qualifications

This pivotal role requires a depth of expertise (Minimum 8 years of strategy experience. BA or BS required. MA/MS a plus), including a track record of impactful work experience and professional ingenuity – which means you are/have:

  • Pharma/Healthcare at consulting firm, agency or client-side experience required. HCP or business consulting experience a plus
  • Experience in both the articulation of the business or marketing problem and the path and process to creating a solution
  • A true strategist and collaborator that has worked on large scale projects with executive clients
  • A savvy problem-solver with the unstoppable drive to inspire teams and bring the best work to life, based on your expertise with omni-channel orchestration across a brand ecosystem
  • A creative provocateur and persuasive storyteller who is endlessly curious and questioning with a keen ability to shift perspective as well as illuminate powerful insights and creative potential through data and narrative
  • The embodiment of the Agile mindset: values collaboration, transparency, continuous improvement, is resilient and a has a desire to drive outcomes over outputs.
  • Experience working within the Agile/Scrum framework is a plus.
  • An all-around professional with exceptional communication, organizational and time management skills, and the flexibility to adapt quickly to change
