Job Description

As an Associate on the Data Instrumentation team you will be part of an innovative team that is focused on data collection and data platform deployment strategies. We are looking for someone who is passionate about data and is interested in the role that Analytics plays in today’s changing business landscape. You will learn to use marketing tools to improve planning, execution and optimization of data platforms and analytics strategy.  

Data Instrumentation team members at Razorfish focus primarily in four key areas:
 
Analytics – Creation of custom tracking solutions based on a measurement plan, documenting solution design and mapping of analytics variables to defined requirements. Through defined KPIs, implement a solution enabling a stable architecture for capturing robust data sets. 

Tag Management Solutions - Creation of data layer specifications and TMS rules for best practice implementation of site-side and media analytics tracking while reducing page complexity and improving performance.

Testing and Optimization - Implementation of testing and optimization tools with integration across marketing and data instrumentation to ensure sound testing, targeting, and personalization strategies
 
Data Management Instrumentation - Implementation of DMPs and CDPs, ensuring taxonomies, tags, and integrations are leveraged to support data analytics, insights and channel level targeting. 
 

Qualifications

An ideal candidate will possess superior problem solving skills and attention to detail. We will ask that you have a working knowledge of javaScript, and the desire to expand your knowledge of how it is used with data platform implementation. You will work to gain an in-depth knowledge of a client’s online presence, business model and marketing strategy to learn the fundamental strategies needed to capture robust data sets, which are the basis for all analytics functions.  You will gain a foundational understanding of web analytics platforms and their implementation, including Razorfish and industry best practices.

Primary job responsibilities: 

  • Proficiency in javaScript is required, some experience with jQuery, CSS, and HTML are desired 
  • An interest in learning about data platform tools (analytics, tag management, testing/optimization/personalization and data management platforms) and the deployment of these tools. 
  • Parsing and reading and troubleshooting analytics output using a packet sniffer  
  • A solid understanding of advertising, marketing and strategic brand management and how to best leverage these in a digital environment 
  • Problem solving and attention to detail in day to day work 
  • Ability to absorb, master, and leverage emerging technologies 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills 
  • Collaborate well in a team environment 

 
Desired Skills:

  • A solid understanding of advertising, marketing and strategic brand management and how to best leverage these in a digital environment
  • Understanding of analytics platform basics: tags, cookies, variables.
  • Experience presenting in front of groups, to clients, and via web conference
  • Strong attention to detail and QA abilities
  • Strong interpersonal skills, a positive attitude and the ability to thrive in a collaborative agency environment with multi-disciplinary teams required
  • The ability to successfully manage multiple internal and external initiatives/projects in a deadline-driven environment

Education and Experience:

Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) from a four (4) year, accredited college or university in Computer Science, Marketing, or a related field of study or equivalent military experience
Special consideration given to candidates with a experience with in any of the following platforms/tools: Adobe Analytics, Adobe Launch, Google 360 Suite (GA-UA and GA4), Google Tag Manager, Adobe Target, Optimizely, Tealium, Ensighten, Amplitude, mParticle

Compensation Range: $52,500- $83,500. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. For this role, the Company will offer medical coverage, dental, vision, disability, 401k, and paid time off.
