SUPERVISING PRODUCER, PICTURE POST

With a thorough understanding of the post production process for feature and episodic workflows, the Supervising Producer will manage a team of DI Producers who oversee feature and episodic picture post projects from production through delivery.  The ideal candidate will have a long-established background in picture post production facility workflows and production team management.   Highly motivated, with extreme attention to detail and the ability to motivate and manage a team of producers, artists and operational staff, this individual will also be extremely organised and expected to supervise multiple projects in various stages of completion simultaneously.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

• Manage the day-to-day production facility operations and guarantee the smooth running of both attended and unattended sessions in facility and by remote review
• Lead project specific technical workflow design and oversee the successful execution
• Responsible for leading the scheduling of all picture post production work and making sure all clients requirements are accommodated
• Identify and develop new collaborative working practices and promote their adoption within our facilities worldwide
• Communicate with clients, studios, and distributors on a daily basis throughout the duration of a project to ensure deadlines are met, deliveries are accurate, and finances are mutually understood and accepted
• Assume responsibility for the technical integrity and financial ramifications of every facility task
• Solve problems quickly and completely, enlisting the proper stakeholders while maintaining ownership of the end solution
• Track, actualise, bill, and wrap projects accurately in project management software
• Respond to client queries and requests in an efficient and timely manner, proactively engaging before, during, and after a project
• Supervise facility artists, technicians, and staff members in order to attain client goals on a given project
• Ensure artists and operators comply with all security protocols as directed by the clients or company policy
• Work with sales department to determine cost of work to be performed for providing formal bids, overages, and actuals
• Support in the management of the DI facility, team, technology, and company brand/reputation
• Other duties, as required and assigned

Required qualifications and background:

• Relevant experience in a post-production environment
• Thorough understanding of post-production workflows (DCI and broadcast video standards, SDR/HDR delivery, colour science, etc.)
• Ability to interface with clients successfully and problem-solve proactively
• Extremely organized with ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously
• Network & studio delivery experience
• Microsoft Office and administrative software suite fluency
• Post-production software familiarity (Filmlight, Avid, Autodesk, Colorfront, DaVinci, Streambox, Aspera, Signiant, FrameIO etc.)
