The Role

Lead the daily planning and management of client communication requirements, working closely with the Business Manager or Business Director to successfully run a group of clients.  

What you will be doing

STRATEGIC AND CHANNEL PLANNING PROCESS:

  • Develop strategic channel planning capability to contribute to and, where relevant, lead the planning process as directed by Managers.
  • Take the strategy and turn into a deployable Implementation recommendation and schedule with a key emphasis on the measurement of relevant outcome-centric KPIs.

IMPLEMENTATION AND MEDIA BUYING:

  • Take responsibility for ensuring campaigns are executed to plan including management and oversight of sub-briefing to enable considered contributions from other specialists to execute the strategy.

ACCOUNT MANAGEMENT:

  • Work alongside your managers to deliver impeccable account servicing.
  • Demonstrate to clients that we are not only a supplier but a valued Business partner.
  • Invest time and energy in understanding your client’s industries and be able to contribute valuably at the table, with client, media partners and internally.

REPORTING AND INSIGHTS:

  • Maintain an in-depth understanding of research tools and media platform opportunities as they develop and evolve.
  • Reporting - conceive, challenge and nuance reports to produce accurate insightful reporting for clients in language they can understand, carrying learnings into future practice. Ensure they are usable and valuable to clients.

TEAM MANAGEMENT:

  • Work closely alongside specialist services workstreams to lead and help shape their contributions to ensure they deliver insight-led, strategically sound work.
  • Ensure appropriate team processes are in place to support effective campaign implementation, management and delivery. Recommend new ways where you spot opportunities to adapt processes.

COMMUNICATIONS AND PRESENTATION:

  • Deliver kick arse presentations and decks that capture our clients attention and exceed their expectations.
  • Present media strategies and plans to clients in a compelling way that gives the client confidence in the recommendation.

MARKET KNOWLEDGE AND FINANCIAL ACUMEN:

  • Hold great relationships with key media contacts. Understand their business,products and the challenges they face.
  • Keep abreast of the NZ media landscape and macro and micro trends affecting the way we approach communications.
  • Financial acumen - costs accurately assessed and invoiced via Pegasus.
