Job Description

We’re looking to introduce an exceptional individual to play a critical role in enabling our teams to be effective in delivering market-leading solutions to our clients to cover a Maternity Contract. 

As Project Manager, you will have day-to-day responsibility for the smooth and effective running of specified projects with a focus on smooth coordination of client project milestones, project governance, and operational excellence. To do this, you should have great skills in effective project set up, budget control, project tracking and reporting, risk and issue analysis, and quality assurance.

With this in mind, an understanding of the principles of Project Management, appropriate methodologies, and processes is vital.  Ideally, you will also have experience applying Lean Six Sigma and Agile ways of working in operational and client delivery settings.

With respect to new solutions being launched to markets, you will also be responsible for enablement, which will entail coordinating relevant enablement-focused training all PMX Consulting employees across the digital consultancy landscape within EMEA, as well as linking enablement activities to other major regions, including North America (which often leads the development of new training content, if not region-specific).  Your key stakeholders will be the Managing Directors of Platform Impact, Biddable Power, Partnerships, and Futurescapes teams, as well as Regional Digital leadership teams to identify new training needs as they arise in connection with new areas of technology or capability relevant to our partners and to new products and services.

You will coordinate with various contacts across all Publicis Media agency brands to identify strategic imperatives for skills, capabilities, and expertise required to support the needs of each agency.   You will then source and collaborate with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to build appropriate content into eLearning and/or other appropriate training formats to ensure training is scalable – adding material to Marcel and/or PM Platform, where relevant. 

This exciting role calls for an individual who can focus on the detail, being thoroughly “buttoned-down” and on top of all aspects of their projects, while being aware of the bigger picture. The ideal candidate will be a Project Manager to the core who is looking to branch into Learning and Development, ideally with some experience of enablement of teams, as well as change management.

Qualifications

It is imperative that this individual be highly adaptable and process-oriented, able to manage various projects at once without sacrificing the attention to detail that is required to run a project or program effectively and to keep up with the training and enablement needs of the PMX Consulting team, market teams, and the agencies which are reliant on them.

Additionally, key attributes of the ideal candidate should include:

Project Management – 70% of Focus

  • Manage and deliver multiple work streams for various types of projects (internal and external) to agreed scope, timings, budget, and quality
  • Work with internal and external teams to help define project scope, resource requirements, and cost estimates for projects
  • Be the hub of communication for your assigned projects - in regular contact with internal and external partners engaged in delivering our projects
  • Encourage and facilitate collaboration. Set up projects in defined business tools to give full visibility but allow the team to collaborate independently
  • Work with PMX internal and external partners to jointly scope, manage, and deliver projects when appropriate
  • Create robust and realistic cost estimates and maintain cost documents in MS Excel and/or another tool(s) defined by the business
  • Produce realistic timings in MS Project, or chosen business tool, with clearly flagged milestones
  • Use defined business tools to assign and track issues when appropriate
  • At the start of a project, analyse the areas that could potentially throw the delivery off track, log these risks and list what you plan to do to mitigate against them
  • Confidently and proactively suggest the most appropriate Project Management approach based on the project’s requirements
  • Be on top of your projects and know timings, key milestones, budgets, resourcing, risks, etc.
  • Assess the time and financial impact of changes and communicate to stakeholders as appropriate
  • Be firm but fair in judgement: push back when scope creep or suggested budgets are not realistic whilst understanding the constraints of the client. Be prepared and able to defend your position and profit margin internally and externally
  • Understand the workings and needs of the projects you are partnered with; have a good understanding of the brands you work on - their definitions, their core characteristics, how they should and shouldn't behave
  • Be commercially aware: At all times have an idea of the status of the budget of your projects; WIPS should be updated weekly and any variations from budget accounted for and where possible mitigated before they happen

Learning & Development – 30% of Focus

  • Responsible for defining and implementing PMX Consulting learning & development culture and programs essential for maintaining and developing the skill sets and knowledge of our Subject Matter experts (SMEs)
  • Responsible for developing and curating the enablement & training curriculum and partnering with SMEs within PMX to create new content or keep content accurate and up-to-date
  • Work with PMX senior leadership to propose training plans and review past training performance
  • Responsible for creating surveys & collecting feedback from participants across all training programs
  • Must continually update existing curriculum to enhance the classroom experience based on participant feedback
  • Manage communication around upcoming trainings and ensures communication goes out to the correct participants
  • Secure necessary funding for programs and collaborate with outside vendors who support the training program
  • Create collateral and facilitator guides for programs, as needed
  • Work closely with the Publicis Media L&D team to set up program enrolments, manage rosters, upload materials, track attendance, etc.
  • Handle administrative tasks associated with running a program, which includes scheduling rooms and presenters, requesting login credentials for participants, obtaining access to certain distribution lists, etc.

CRITICAL SKILLS

  • Already worked in a communication/media/digital agency or global brand with some knowledge of adtech and martech ecosystem

  • Degree or equivalent with 3+ years of experience in Project Management and/or Learning and Development, or similar training and enablement functions
  • Experience in using project management tools such as MS Project, budget/time tracking tools and issue tracking software
  • Working proficiency with Microsoft Office and Microsoft Project
  • Experience in project management models including Agile, Waterfall, and Scrum
  • Ideally, experience with Lean Six Sigma or other operational excellence methodologies
