Senior Account Director, Data Sales - Travel Vertical (Remote)

Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Account Revenue generation to achieve assigned revenue goals.
  • Provide strategic plan for accounts and execute against plan.
    • Outlines strategic opportunities for the client across all product lines and channels – digital, social, email, and direct mail.
    • Increase Epsilon Market Share on assigned book of clients.
    • Responsibilities for 100% product penetration within accounts.
    • Ensures that schedules and budgets are met according to contractual agreements.
    • Works with clients to cultivate future projects and qualify new opportunities.
    • Develops plans to sell strategic products in assigned territory and assists R&D in the market analysis of potential products.
  • Creates and maintains both vertical and horizontal client contact relationships, at mid-level management and above. 
  • Obtains and maintains significant client communications.
    • Works closely with clients to oversee day-to-day relationship.
      • Provides products and service to customers in such a way to ensure 100% client retention and client reference-ability to aid in the sales effort.
        • Ensures customer satisfaction with Epsilon solutions.
  • Develops deal terms and completes contract negotiations.
  • Consult with Product Management and Data Strategy Teams.
  • Collaborate in Epsilon Cross Sell initiatives with Epsilon Teach and DMS teams to secure data revenue.
  • Collaborate with Publicis Agency for optimal data strategy and revenue.
  • Accurate and timely forecasting in the Salesforce system.
  • Serve as internal liaison to other functional groups.
  • Conducts face-to-face and phone client meetings on an on-going basis as needed.
  • Travels as appropriate to client site (may be up to 50%) as permitted.
  • Provides follow-up to all meetings within 48 hours.
  • Reviews and prioritizes deliverables from each meeting.
  • Manage client orders.
  • Utilization of Internal Epsilon Systems.
    • Order Management System
    • CRM – Client contact and communication system.
    • Forecasting system
  • Demonstrates solution-oriented consultative sales approach to growing their book of business.
  • Ensures timely and accurate invoicing.
  • Initiates pricing incentive recommendations internally and externally to meet annual Epsilon objectives.
  • Provides first-level sales management to insure minimum achievement of 100% of quota.
  • Leads sales presentations on key accounts at all levels including c-suite.
  • Creates formal networks involving coordination among groups.
  • Mentors’ junior associates on the Retail, Travel, and Restaurant Sales team.  Participate as needed in the Data Mentor Program.
  • An individual contributor driving significant revenue growth by using general business acumen to uncover prospect business needs and identify how Epsilon solutions can help prospects achieve their business goals.
  • Maintain a high level of outreach activity against assigned pipeline of brands/contacts to continually open new opportunities for data business.
  • Consult with prospect about business challenges and requirements, as well as the range of data solutions options and cost benefits of each.
  • Create and deliver compelling, customized sales presentations that address the core business issues and opportunities faced by the prospect.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with internal and third-party partners that may be required to deliver full solutions to customers.
  • Stay current on industry trends and personnel moves among prospect organizations.
  • Negotiate and close contracts with client marketing and legal stakeholders
  • Work effectively to coordinate with internal teams to manage the onboarding process for all incoming accounts signed.  
  • Conduct all sales activities with the highest degree of professionalism and integrity.
  • Develop and maintain thorough understanding of the Travel market; attend trade shows (if needed), contribute to developing marketing, sales, and meeting materials.
  • Demonstrate expertise in different types of data in a variety of marketing use cases, both offline and online.

Skills and Competencies

  • Senior-level hunter that enjoys prospecting, cold calling and needs based selling.
  • Understanding of complex and lengthy sales cycles and how to create achievable milestones and deliver meticulous follow-up
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to make compelling presentations to an audience of diverse and senior business stakeholders
  • Keep detailed notes on prospect and customer interactions using Salesforce.com.
  • Proven ability to negotiate and close deals
  • Must be strategic, flexible, tenacious, results-oriented
  • Adept at dealing with a constantly changing environment
  • Positive attitude with a willingness to always learn

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree, MBA Preferred
  • 8-10 years’ top-performer experience in a sales/hunter role, selling Data or related area
  • Direct Marketing, Data Management or Marketing Experience, and skills to contribute to development of company objectives and principals to achieve goals in creative and effective ways.
