Job Description

Overview

A master technician and teacher who thrives in-house creation, design, and production of digital/multimedia creative assets. Responsible for bringing innovative ideas around motion, 3D, & Digital (UI/UX) to cross-functional teams. Partners with the multimedia team lead and across brand teams to lead and develop multimedia assets through a variety of tactics. Demonstrates a dedication, persistence, and passion for relevant, groundbreaking creative for our shoppers, brands, and retailers. Understands business objectives and identifies new opportunities. Starts to have a creative POV, contributing ideas to team brainstorms and helping innovate the work. A technician with specific skill sets who is a strong visual storyteller.

Key Responsibilities

  • Brings big ideas and leads in content and/or structural brainstorms when applicable
  • Aware of current design and industry trends in the multimedia space. Brings ideas that solve for the future.
  • Leads the in-house creation, design, capture, and production of digital/multimedia creative assets including: Motion Graphic and video editing, Video, Audio, and Photography capture, Banner Ad Animations, 3D Asset creation, Sketching concepts, and Website assets.
  • Able to oversee and work on multiple multimedia projects simultaneously. Balances the desire to do groundbreaking creative work on tight timing with a responsibility to achieve results.
  • Research brands and industry trends to provide digital and multimedia design foresight and shares back to the team, department, and agency
  • Able to effectively communicate art direction and production nuances as it applies to the multimedia work (Understanding SAG and video/photography production)
  • May manage an intern and/or have a junior multimedia creative direct report
  • Leads multimedia creative team status meetings and work check-ins
  • Oversees the design, execution, and production of internal and external presentation decks while also doing the work
  • Assists all creative teams in delivering display concepts, 3D structural concepts, and art comps
  • Creates print-ready and/or web-ready files for creative teams
  • Provides backfill for all creative and design teams when capacity requires
  • Collaborates with cross-functional team members and helps lead projects
  • Client-facing and able to sell in work and multimedia capabilities
  • Understands how the agency and department operates and able to contribute to business growth

Qualifications

  • BA degree in multimedia or related field (motion graphics/animation/broadcast) or trade-school equivalent
  • 5 + year’s work experience in digital production and development, broadcast video production, and 3D/2D Motion Graphics a plus.
  • ·A working knowledge of graphic software (i.e.,  Premiere, After Effects, Cinema 4D, Photoshop, Fireworks, CSS, HTML) and Microsoft Office suite is expected.
  • Demonstrates a passion for the unknown and is curious about the why.
  • Begin to learn about shopper behavior and how it can be influenced through creative output.
  • A desire to continuously learn new methods and programs and seek out ways to solve problems.
  • Push the work forward by asking questions and contributing to creative decisions.
