Job Description

We are seeking a driven, highly collaborative and proactive Senior Account Director for our experiential agency, Publicis Experiential (PXP). This role will lead Strategy and Account Service on live events projects from concept to delivery and execution. This individual will have the opportunity to grow an Account Team from the ground up and shape the way in which PXP services its clients. PXP is the Experiential Center of Excellence for Publicis Groupe – the world’s #1 Agency Group.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Oversee planning, development and growth of major global brand’s Live Events account
  • Act as lead Account Director across PXP’s Live Events practice
  • Work collaboratively with other teams to provide best-in-class event activations
  •  Develop and maintain strategies to meet client program objectives and goals
  • Think creatively and strategically and have a strong understanding of marketing principles
  • Manage and analyze results of all programs and recommend changes to approach based on performance
  • Manage the selection, training and development of staff
  • Provide revenue forecasting and strategic planning
  • Assist in developing the overall PXP business strategy and contribute to agency thought-leadership
  • Build results-oriented culture focused on delivering well-executed, unexpected and rewarding client work
  • Set productivity standards for team, track performance, and hold team members accountable
  • Drive results by anticipating future needs and taking decisive action
  • Build strategic alliances with key stakeholders among outside vendors, internal partners, and clients to improve business performance
  • Provide thought leadership and help generate ideas alongside creative team
  • Translate vision into business strategies and operating plans (with goals/targets)
  • Leverage a broad and deep understanding of the industry, marketplace, client and agency
  • Articulate and align team goals with larger business/client goals
  • Build teamwork and camaraderie throughout the organization
  • Proactively work to assist team members and remove barriers to effectiveness

Qualifications

  • Minimum ten years of experience servicing clients in a live events environment including but not limited to producing corporate meetings, key note executive conferences, etc.
  • Strong management and team building skills, excel at managing employees remotely
  • Dynamic public speaker and presenter
  • Proven track record of account growth and expertise in the events marketing industry
  • Ability to be flexible and highly adaptive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
  • Ability to multi-task and process information efficiently 
  • Assertive and proactive self-starter with strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to communicate clearly, delegate projects, and manage multiple projects at once 
  • Ability to manage and deliver multiple projects simultaneously on time and on budget 
  • Pushes for continuous, year-over-year improvement in results (e.g., continually raises the bar) 
  • A creative, open-minded, solutions-oriented approach to problem solving.
