Job Description

The Strategist leads strategic development to create a unified strategy across channels that provides a high value add to the client’s brand and product.  The Strategist also sells through strategic visions and programs to clients, works with the Account Services team to develop and write the strategy section of job launch brief that inspires great creative concepting, and ensures that all marketing and creative concepts are on-strategy and on-brand.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Review client objectives and input and develop short and long-term integrated marketing strategies for the client
  • Construct campaign ideas that can work across the customer lifecycle (welcome, onboarding, cross-sell/upsell, re-engagement and winback)
  • Understand client data inputs/opportunities and be able to draft data requirements to support campaign execution and personalization at scale
  • Grow in platform knowledge to Inform technical applications and requirements that can support more seamless customer experiences in various CRM platforms
  • Work cross-functionally within the agency to ensure the successful execution of client and agency strategies
  • Evaluate results of campaigns to establish testing opportunities to optimize program performance over time – shaping and contributing to test and learn agendas
  • Work with the Account Services team to develop and write the strategy section of job launch brief
  • Oversee the strategy of all client campaigns and projects, providing the Creative team direction to ensure the marketing and creative work is on-strategy and on-brand
  • Review Creative concepts through round one and provide additional input or recommendations on client and project strategy
  • Develop and deliver strategic client presentations
  • Perform secondary research on industry trends, reports, and consumer trends to develop insights on performance and segmentation
  • Support the generation of new business and revenue opportunities by working with Account Services, Creative, and Data Intelligence on strategic development

Qualifications

  • You have a bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications or equivalent work experience preferred.
  • You have 2+ years of experience in creating, leading, and selling through digital, direct and/or integrated marketing strategies and solutions.
  • You have a strong understanding of integrated marketing principles including digital, direct, brand and data-based marketing.
  • You can assess and analyze client objectives to produce and recommend appropriate solutions.
  • You can synthesize information from various sources and extract key insights and message opportunities.
  • You can effectively prioritize and meet deadlines.
  • You can work in a flexible, dynamic and fast-paced environment.
  • You are highly resourceful, with strong research skills and a working knowledge of marketing tools, KPIs and executional channels.
  • You are highly creative with first-rate conceptual, visual and writing skills.
  • You have excellent oral communication and presentation skills.
  • You have proven client management skills and service orientation.
  • You are proactive and able to work independently.
  • You have some experience with customer journey mapping and decisioning/targeted messaging solutions.
  • Experience with CRM / Customer lifecycle communications and digital assets is preferred.
  • Experience with email CRM platform solutions, content management solutions, and other technology services is a plus.
  • Experience with subscription services is a plus.
