Job Description

Position Summary:
As a member of the Server Operations Team, the Associate L2 is involved in running day-to-day operations and in supporting Citrix and WebRDS infrastructures. Participating in global IT projects, supporting your colleagues, performing proactive administration tasks, resolving issues when they arise, and ensuring that the team delivers world-class infrastructure solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Run and support the infrastructure solutions in the most effective way (day and on-call night & week-end support).
  • Administer, optimize, and tune the servers and related components to ensure high availability of the various business applications.
  • Diagnose and fix incidents as quickly as possible, and make sure that the root cause analyses are done to prevent problems and resulting incidents from happening, as well as to eliminate recurring incidents.
  • Maintain up-to-date infrastructure inventory for what is relevant (technical inventory & technical guides and processes).
  • Deal with multiple incidents/tasks simultaneously.
  • Actively participate in all areas of daily operations involving several technologies such as Citrix, Microsoft, and VMWare.
  • Work in collaboration with different teams (Architecture, Global Network, Messaging, Databases, Applications, etc.)
  • Proactive detection, troubleshooting, and resolution of systems issues.
  • Be compliant with the ITIL processes in place (Incident, Problem, Patch, Change, Release, and Deployment).
  • Develop a good working relationship with peers across the organization and work closely with the various IT functions in the Region. 
  • Adapt working hours to fit agreed business requirements.
  • On-call availability, occasional overtime, and weekend work.
  • Coordinate internal resources to ensure resource availability and allocation to global IT projects for the flawless project execution within timeline.

Qualifications

Experience/Qualifications/Certifications:

  • Degree holder in IT
  • Minimum 5 years of IT experience
  • IT Certification on Server and OS related is preferred
  • Citrix, VMWare, and Azure Certification are preferred

Work Experience:

  • WebRDS, Citrix XenApp, and VDI work experience are required
  • Windows Server Environment (Active Directory, GPO)
  • VMWare Virtual Environment
  • Enterprise Monitoring and ISM tool

Knowledge:

  • LAN, MAN, WAN, VPN
  • Authentication: Radius, SSL, Active Directory, SSH, DNS, DHCP
  • SAN / NAS concept and knowledge
  • Azure or any cloud knowledge
  • Any knowledge of scripting is an advantage

Skills:

  • Ability to conduct research into systems/ OS issues as required.
