SENIOR MIX TECHNICIAN

HARBOR  is seeking a Senior Mix Technician to join our new London long-form post facility. Based at the new HARBOR Turnmills facility in Farringdon, the Senior Mix Technician will oversee the three in house Atmos theatres for episodic and theatrical clients, working in collaboration with the audio post manager and engineering team. Managing additional Mix Technicians, they will be involved in hiring and training within the team as the department expands. They will also be a key interface between in house and external talent technology requirements and feeding this back to the wider engineering team. The audio facilities include multiple networked Atmos theatres, ADR rooms and cutting rooms within the building.

Key Responsibilities:

• Be responsible for the backroom functioning of the mix rooms. Supervise and train colleagues as and when required
• Assist in the day-to-day management of the studio and the wider mix support team
• Operate the equipment in the studio and backroom to the highest level
• Monitor technical quality control
• Produce daily reports sheets when required
• Produce Weekly overtime sheets for work completed in the studio
• Liaise with senior producer and management to ensure the seamless delivery of services
• Be a first point of contact for clients and visitors in any dealings they may have with HARBOR
• Provide exceptional client and staff satisfaction when carrying out tasks
• Answer or redirect general queries
• Assist in other departments as and when necessary

Skills/Knowledge Required:

• Extensive knowledge of Avid S6, Pro-Tools, MTRX/Dante routing, Dolby Atmos, theatrical and SVOD delivery specs
• Ability to deal within fast turnarounds and pressured situations
• Good organisational skills
• Excellent knowledge of the wider post-production process
• To be a team builder and work efficiently as part of a team
• Able to work within a shift pattern, which covers evenings
• Willingness to work late nights or weekends as per client requirements
