CONFORM EDITOR
Leading post production facility is recruiting an experienced Conform Editor. This position requires in-depth knowledge of various software platforms including but not limited to Baselight, Autodesk Flame and DaVinci Resolve. An ideal candidate will have familiarity with motion picture camera formats, resolutions, frame-rates and codecs. They will be responsible for conforming Feature, Episodic & Documentary projects with original camera footage, VFX, and graphic elements based on client-supplied turnover materials (Avid bins, Premiere projects, etc.). This position requires exceptional attention to detail, a thorough understanding of the post-production process, and the ability to communicate effectively with clients and colleagues alike.
Job Description
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Conform Feature, Episodic and Documentary projects from camera original files, delivered VFX and graphic elements
- Bid, track and execute basic VFX and compositing work
- Perform optical & clean-up work
- Composite titles
- Assume responsibility for technical accuracy of conform
- Work with Colour Assists and Engineers to ensure smooth sessions for Colourists
- Communicate project developments, issues, and timeframes with project manager
- Other duties within the department, as assigned
Qualifications
Required qualifications and background:
- Advanced knowledge of Autodesk Flame, Baselight and DaVinci Resolve
- Demonstrated familiarity with Avid Media Composer, Adobe Premiere and other NLE software
- Feature film and television workflow experience
- Advanced knowledge of post-production workflows
- Visual effects capabilities (dynamic speed changes, repositions, clean up, titling etc.)
- Understanding of professional audio/video standards
- Mac, Windows, and Linux OS proficiency
- Ability to interact with clients and perform quality work under deadline pressure
